      Ok, so you state the obvious. The real issue now is how to untie the Gordian Knot of this mess. Home values are two high to wages. Congress is on an election cycle and thus brings more vodoo economics to the table. The feds are 10 trillion in the hole with 44% owed overseas. So lets start with congress and elect representatives that will return fiscal responsibility to the Federal Government. Then maybe the Fed Chairman out to be changed to someone who will fight inflation, stop the bubble developing in commodities, and use all the fed tools to stop Greenspans "Irrational Exuperance".

      When Median Home Price matches 2.5 to 3 times Median Income then the problem will have righted itself. Until then beware.

      AIG Has No Business Adjusting for “Negative Basis”
      How is an investor to determine if AIG is another ENRON? If the accountants cannot value an asset, then how can you carry it on the balance sheet.

      If the asset cannot be valued then the conversion of the Asset to Income also cannot be valued accurately. All the standard measures of management effectiveness and profitability are out the window.

      So all that is left if faith in the management. I will take my faith in church. With people, I will trust but I must be able to verify. If it cannot be verified then I want no part of a potential Ponsi scheme,
