  • FOMC Cautious, But Still Set To Hike Before The UK's MPC [View article]
With commodities crashing, a strong dollar, weak retail sales numbers, US inflation still low and employment still soft based on the participation rate - I don't see how the Fed can raise unless it is a token 25 bps to retain some shred of creditability.

  • AT&T: Dish's auction approach skewed results, needs restriction [View news story]
"The real question is why did AT&T get to under pay the tax payers so much for all of the spectrum that they have purchased in the past? "

Pretty silly. Surely you can figure out why anyone paid prices they paid in the past.

  • June rate hike chorus grows louder [View news story]
Insist on tax reform to eliminate pandering to social or corporate groups, a balanced budget and enforcement of immigration laws. Until you reign in government manipulation, nothing can be corrected.

  • Greek financing talks break down [View news story]
"austerity" these days means reigning in governments, not citizens. That's why it will never be condoned by the ruling class. They have created these problems and can never acknowledge it. Most citizens live by austere means due to the constraint of their incomes. Governments able to print their currency have no such restraints.

  • Greek financing talks break down [View news story]
Greece has its faults as do other countries. Consider the fact that many countries would be in the same position as Greece if they could not print their currencies. That's why the European Court of Justice said "Hey, it's perfectly legal for the ECB to print Euros." They know, as do all other purveyors of currencies, that it's better to default gradually than all at once. It is the "kick the can" philosophy in practice. The creditors will cave.

  • Audit The Fed? [View article]
Because that is not the way government is structured in our country, Kyle. Army Generals are not positions up for election, just like Supreme Court Justices.

  • Audit The Fed? [View article]
"The Reserve Banks are not operated for profit" - well, it is the most profitable not-for-profit entity ever seen then. Billions of dollars of "earnings" have been turned over to the Treasury in the last few years.
