Is Google the Next AOL?

Well, Google has proven itself to be an extremely innovative company, but I do not personally view the youtube acquisition as evidence of that. They paid big $$ for youtube after failing to gain any traction in that space with their own Google Video venture; in essense, because they failed in this arena, they bought their way in. Google's a great company, but not everything they touch turns to gold.
