  • 3D Systems' Earnings Looked Good To The Shorts [View article]
I've asked this in other DDD SA blogs but never got an answer:

I'm just an individual investor, but I never understood the hype around consumer 3D printing and the whole comparison to HP and 2D printing. Why would the average consumer want a cheap 3D printer? I just can't see myself ever buying one. This is why I'm wary of any one company putting too much resources into consumer 3D printing. I'd rather see them focus heavily on manufacturing.

  • 3D Systems Or Stratsys: Which Is The Best Bet For Now? [View article]
I'm just an individual investor, but do you all really think consumer 3D printing is viable? Would you ever buy one? I can't see myself ever buying one as I don't have a need for it (unlike 2D printing). The stuff I was reading said SSYS is more focused on industrial printing, rather than the consumer market. That plus the questionable accounting DDD was reported doing last quarter makes me have 2/1 more SSYS in my portfolio than DDD.

As an avid Wowhead, SWTOR is gonna hurt Blizzard bad and already I see less traffic on the server I play on since SWTOR was released. Also, the Pandara concept is not being well receive by many hard core players. One smart thing Blizzard did though was offer a free diablo III with a purchase of a 1 year subscription.

What does it matter if long term rates are brought down. Short term rates are near zero anyways. Also, I agree that its not a rate problem, but access to lending. I know many people who have been trying to refinance for 1year+ to take advantage of low rates, but can't because banks refuse to refinance without higher % of home equity.
