Axion Power Concentrator 240: May 30: Axion Power Reports First Quarter Results For 2013 [View instapost]
Going to reply to my own comment since I don't comment much :-)... Being a lurker, I stopped by the Y! board to see what's going on since I haven't been there in a while and noticed the AXPW bashing seems to have recently subsided or even stopped completely. Is it possible that those paid to smear the stock have moved? Maybe whoever wanted the negativity got what they wanted and will now let the PPS rise?

Seems like no one is going hit the ask until the person dumping stops selling at the bid. Or, until there is news. I say person dumping because I have to believe very, very few people would be selling at this volume below the offering price of .35.

Is it possible TG was more monotone this time because there was something imminent about to happen? Couldn't he get in hot water if he hinted at something, causing the stock to run before an announcement? It seems it would be best to be quiet. Although, saying a lot has happened in the past 6 weeks is enough of a hint for me.

I wish I had level 2 to see the game between feeders and flippers. Not that the short term game has much to do with the long term price, but I just find it interesting none the less.

Anyone think Norfolk will mention how their spending is going for locomotives tonight during their Q1 earnings announcement? $242 million budgeted for the year, so maybe they will say where some of it's going or went in Q1.

They are pushing a 20% drop. Does one firm have that much impact on the price? I guess the question is should they have that much influence because it sure looks like they did. I wonder if one of the other firms will speak up. I know A123 is after the grid market as well and if they go the way of ENER1 then I guess that's one less competitor.

Looks to me like it's just stating that the minimum number of shares offered (22,857,142) had been met. I think the offering would have been cancelled if they didn't get their minimum.
"At the close of business on February 2, 2012, subscriptions had been received for in excess of the minimum number of shares offered hereby. "

Couple of thoughts...
Maybe the offering was 10 and not 18 million because we have the balance covered through purchase orders. Otherwise, why not just take the hit all at once and be done with it.
Maybe there was no news release before the offering because the price ran up on it's own without it. Makes me wonder if the "news" was going to be mention of Axion during the NS conference call. Timing would have been about right.

Her comment is what made me think of the possibility. There's not enough shares available to establish a significant position in the company. Also, if someone wanted to become part owner in the business I own, I wouldn't be selling them a portion at a discounted price.

Question for John or anyone else. If there are multiple parties interested in financing because they believe the company will succeed and want a big piece of the company then could one of them actually pay a premium to get in? I keep assuming it would be at a discount, but if risk is off the table could it be feasible that someone would pay lets say a 10% premium as opposed to a 10% discount? Is that even feasible?
