Attempts to duplicate their findings by other scientists have failed - mostly due to ridiculous assumptions made about the relative lifespan of the Hummer. There is no credible science behind CNW (the originator or the claims), and they will not disclose who funded the study. "Hummer more green than Prius" is a goofy claim that everyone keeps resurrecting, probably because it makes for sensational headlines, regardless of it’s credibility.

It's a very good idea to think further into 'green' alternatives (just how green are they, etc) - but we should all be careful of the credibility of our sources.
