  • SandRidge Energy: Does The Announced Stock Repurchase Contradict The 'Grow Into Debt' Plan? [View article]
    Richard-

As you note, this company lacks credibility. Recent actions by the new Board seem no better than the prior one...maybe worse in light of the boondoggle with Ward's golden parachute and the departure of the COO. I fear this company still needs significant housecleaning before it will be back on-track.

  • E-Bikes And Tablets: Two More Bullish Catalysts For Undervalued Battery Maker Highpower Technology [View article]
Very interesting article, Michael. I'm not sure I trust the overall market enough to invest in this right now (we're overdue for a pullback), but I am definitely interested in owning an ebike or assembling one. Keep up the good work!

At what level would you consider this stock a "buy"? Also, have any analysts given this stock a price target? Thanks!

  • Is SandRidge Energy Really In A Position To Repurchase Shares? [View article]
Good article, Devon Shire. While none of us can know what is actually going on behind the scenes, it does look suspicious, especially when coupled with past mistakes. This management team continues to throw gutter balls and is apt to ruin the company. Like other commenters, I'd love someone to explain how this will help share price so those who are long this stock can get out with modest losses!

  • SandRidge Energy: Panic Is Baseless [View article]
    Casey-

While there is rarely a need to panic, there may be very legitimate grounds for concern with SD. Management's handling of Ward was poor, which may be indicative of misjudgments in other operational issues. Lawler leaving may be indicative of lack of confidence in SD. I hope you are right that these folks are "firmly on pace to grow production". So far, they have only grown doubt and concern.

Thanks for your article, Stephen. I like and own SLW for the reasons you highlight. You mentioned RGLD. Which stock do you think is the better value at this juncture?

Thanks, Bret. This is a great strategy. Is there a list somewhere alerting you to companies that are offering secondaries? Or are you tracking the news daily to catch these finds?

  • Transocean: High-Yield Contrarian Play Continues To Bottom [View article]
Thanks for another article about a driller. It has been painful to stick with the drillers as they are continued to be hated. I hope that this is indeed at or near the bottom. Long SDRL.

Interesting opportunity, Ben. But the poor liquidity will make it difficult for a new investor to assemble enough shares to make it worthwhile.

  • LinnCo: 10% Yield And Solid Growth Rate Hard To Resist [View article]
    Bret-

Thanks for the article. LNCO looks like a good alternative to investing in a MLP which, for me, has too many tax issues. I'll be looking for a good entry point. Thanks again!

  • Time To Buy More Pacific Drilling [View article]
This does look like a good contrarian play. Any update recommendations on SDRL in light of its earnings? An opportunity to add to my position or start to switch to others in the sector like PACD or RIG? Thanks.
