Why Cisco Should Buy Alvarion - Not Navini
Thanks, Daniel. It's our belief that ALVR makes a good M&A candidate as well.

Google Docs Gives It Advantage Against Microsoft and Apple
I believe for the Fiscal Year ended in June 2007 it was almost 30% of total gross revenues. MSFT had $50B total revs and MBD division (of which 90% is Office revenues) was $16B. So, around 28%...

Jeff, good point. But is it conceivable that after aping MSFT's Office, Google can introduce an entirely new way of interfacing with productivity tools. I've been using 37 signal's Highrise for some time now and love it. While it doesn't handle email (it works in conjunction with other mail handlers), it's already helping me run my business. Outlook could have done this - I think Google begins to introduce things like this in the future.

I didn't think my title could cause so much antipathy! The actual title was "Google Docs Rocks: How Google's New Launch Stacks up Against MSFT and AAPL". See tinyurl.com/yw49pn

When I discussed AAPL's Office Suite, my intention wasn't to say that AAPL is going to go head-to-head with MSFT. Rather, if they were to go after the Enterprise environment, they'd have to reinvent themselves to compete on the training/service component (even if, as you say, you don't need as much training).

The fact is that MSFT is entrenched and it will take some serious heavy lifting to displace them. We're not there yet, but we're one step closer.

      Hi Daniel,
I didn't suggest that Gdocs is superior - my point was just that now Google has a full suite. There is a huge chasm from a product point of view between Office and Gdocs.

Is Blue Square-Israel Positioning Itself to Enter the Health Food Business?
      Hi LeslieB,
Thanks for the good comments. The point of the article was to shine some light on BSI, a small cap Israeli retailer, and provide a benchmark for how successful investing in specialty grocery can be.
It wasn't meant to provide any depth on WFMI.
