  • Iron Ore Crash Worsens [View article]
I agree, Aricool. There's a lot of commodities showing similar patterns because of China getting into the game. Future prices will depend mostly on China's economy. And I don't see it hard-landing. Time will tell.

Nice sequence of posts, Aricool. At first I skipped them thinking you were just a contrarian anti-Paulo spammer, but your ideas are well articulated and very sound. Thanks for taking the time.

I agree with your strategy XRTrader. I'm doing something similar with VALE (buying a few puts as well).

  • A Look At Vale's Iron Ore Exposure [View article]
    Another very valuable article Paulo!

I tend to agree that bottom should be near, and not big rebounds in the middle term. It could be nice for an income strategy to hold the stock for a while picking dividends and writting OVM covered calls.

  • The August preliminary HSBC PMI for China falls to a 9-month low of 47.8 from July's final read of 49.3. New orders and new export orders both contracted at a faster rate than July, while inventories rose at a speedier pace. [View news story]
No way! Nothing that a new Draghi's statement could not fix.

  • Iron Ore Falling Off A Cliff [View article]
Yes, Vale may not be a great short, but it probably will test the 17s again. Not to go all-in but buying cheap puts could be a nice trade. We'll see.

  • Buy Cree In Spite Of Recent Rally [View article]
Yes, you are right. But I tend to think that in the next years we'll see a more solid company focused on more profitable aspects of the business (in the US as well as abroad).

Thanks for your articles, Chris, always very informative.

  • Buy Cree In Spite Of Recent Rally [View article]
    Good Article, Chris!

I doubt there's much on the upside for the stock (if China doesn't change the slow-growth tendency), but for the long term is a buy, no doubt. A mid-thirties stock, imo.

    Best Wishes.

Yeah, Cree. I mean the q4 results announcement that should include part of that project revenues. Not a game-changer, but I think it will be a plus.
