    "Soros controls the Obama administration."

This sort of comment makes you sound like a lunatic.

    positivethoughts:

It's not that I disagree with you very generally about America's political and economic decision-making. We have a real problem going on here fiscally.

It is your type's breathless, endless, pathetic attempts to find conspiracy where there is only partisanship. You yearn to point fingers at your list of supposed "evil-doers", when only human self-interest actually exists.

You suck the life out of actual political and fiscal debate with the nonsensical garbage you vigorously spread, all without the slightest attempt at coherence. Your ridiculous blather about politicians is not only unbearably lame, but completely out of place at Seeking Alpha.

"And yet we continue to beat the drums for ridiculous promotions of feminism, virtually free birth control, abortion, the discouragement of marriage (marriage encourages birthrates), and the promotion of sterile sexuality in all its forms. Do you know that Japan has almost abandoned the practice of intercourse in favor of self-sexuality with pornography? If I may put it that way...

...Here's a takeaway economic suggestion, a simple thing you can do to protect your portfolio: trash Planned Parenthood every chance you get. South Korea woke up and made them change their name and mission or get kicked the hell out. Google Planned Parenthood and South Korea..."

Would you please go somewhere else with this crazy social-political nonsense? I really prefer SA without crazies.

Please cite a reliable source that states Ford asked for a bailout.

Edit: qw's comment didn't load when I posted my question. I share qw's skepticism about some of the content in this article. That said, analyst prediction is overly-optimistic and should be taken cautiously.

I enjoy reading your work on SA, and agree with much of what you say re: quantitative v. qualitative analysis... but why cheapen your arguments with insults toward those who were wrong? You already won!

  • 'Strong Buy' For Activision Blizzard Trumps Electronic Arts [View article]
Activision-Blizzard (ATVI) recently had a little-discussed departure from the company: the senior producer of Diablo III left the company in the midst of closed employee/family beta testing (read: the testing before the testing).

Why? The speculation (and it is just that: speculation and nothing more solid) is that the game's character balancing was poorly managed in early development and that the game is not close to being ready to ship. The timing of the departure, right before expanded beta testing, is suspicious. (Closed beta invites were announced Feb. 2, 2012).

I'm not going to get into why imbalances are important and taken seriously in computer game development; you either understand what I'm talking about here or you don't. If you're familiar with Blizzard you already know that the company is legendarily concerned with that issue in its products.

Fellow ATVI stock followers should be aware that one of ATVI's biggest franchises, already delayed and delayed, may be pushed back again. The fact that the game is now listed for Q2 2012 is changeable and should be treated with a strong degree of skepticism.

As to World of Warcraft... the future of Massively Multiplayer Online games (MMOs) is decidedly moving toward the Free-to-Play (F2P) subscription model. Blizzard will adjust with its next MMO offering and quite possibly make more money with fewer mistakes. The company learned and innovated more about the MMO genre than the rest of its fore-bearers and competitors combined.

Here's the real question about ATVI: In light of the success of Skylanders, will the company be encouraged to develop more original IPs? There is a serious problem in big-title gaming: large publishers are largely not willing to risk big dollars developing original stuff. Look at THQ for a rather current example of bad IP development killing (or at least the attempted murder of) a large publisher.

A smart investor would get a whiff of the stank put out by Zygna and just avoid it entirely. There are plenty of ways to make money in the market.

  • Bank Of America: Breakout Or Breakdown? [View article]
Please, please do not recommend Zygna for anything, to anyone. The company is a joke; almost entirely built on stealing the intellectual property of others and leveraging their Facebook connection. The 'churn' on their revenue-producing games is shocking. Zygna only keeps gaming addicts paying up by releasing new games constantly, thus the need to steal ideas. Take a look at their cost per paying customer data if you want some heartburn.

The company is bankruptcy ethically and will be bankrupt financially before long. You're warned!

    Ad hominem attacks are desperate.

What is ridiculous is denying the existence of human behavior that can be found without much effort. Incentives make people do seemingly illogical things for many unexpected reasons.

  • The pay restrictions GM agreed to as a condition for receiving government aid in 2009 could hurt its ability to retain top employees, claims North American chief Mark Reuss. 13 months after GM said it would seek a relaxation of some pay restrictions, many remain in place. Perhaps such a discussion would be appropriate after GM has proven that it has highly-valuable employees.

Is not failing the new succeeding?
