  • More on the iPad Mini: The cheapest model (16GB Wi-Fi) goes for $329. Amazon and Google, sellers of the $199 Kindle Fire HD and Nexus 7, are probably breathing sighs of relief.     I don't know what do you mean by "me-too pads" but I like my Galaxy Tab a lot and to be very true I would not take the iPad mini even if someone would give it to me as a present

    Kids need Nexus tablet so they can feel free, it's pity to lock them in Apple ecosystem from their childhood. I am happy my kids don't live in USA.

  • Verizon (VZ) says it activated 6.8M smartphones in Q3, of which 3.4M were Android phones (many of them were probably Galaxy S III units) and 3.1M were iPhones.
