  • Can Nokia Pull Ahead Of Research In Motion? [View article]
Thanks for your guidance. I am using a BB and very slow catching up in high-tech. Will most likely switch to BB-10. Hope it is easy to use.

  • More on Nokia: In addition to the Lumia 920T, Nokia and China Mobile will be offering the Lumia 620, a WP8 device that goes for just $249 unsubsidized. The 620 has a 3.8" display, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and 5MP camera. It could be a better seller than the $739 920T in a country where much of the smartphone market is controlled by cheap Android gear. The 920T's price is notably above the $450 AT&T is charging for the 920 without contract. NOK +3.5%[View news story]

  • Beware Of Research In Motion And Nokia Near Year-End [View article]
From all the comments, my conclusion : buy next week. Spread the buying to once a week for 3 weeks.
Reasons (all quoted from above SA members) :
    - increased institutional (Goldman S) buying,
    - recent sales of NOK encouraging.
    - NOK not likely to go bust (breakup value positive).

    Thanks for all the comments.

Thanks for the timely reminder to keep my limit on dollar value per stock. Often got carried away by bullish write ups.

Thanks for your time collecting and publishing this report. I normally follow stocks that have potential in the next 3 or 5 years and if price becomes attractive, will start collecting. Thanks

  • China Bounces Back [View article]
I am old man near retirement. Very risk averse. Like your approach. Your method is something like buying China stocks all the way upto China stocks equals to zero. Which are your favorite stocks?

I agree. Most US banks will do well with cheap cost of funds from Fed.

  • China Bounces Back [View article]
Good to be cautious. As to "how much is baked in to Chinese indices", from Stanley's article, answer is 65% from 2007 high. I will put in 25% now and buy the balance 75% on the way down for every 20% drop on my purchase price. I will stick to top blue chip companies.

  • Why Caterpillar Is A Value Trap [View article]
I will buy some CAT on dips. Better than sitting on cash earning miserable bank interest. CAT business will be around for a long time until there is a better way of moving bulky loads around. I am near retirement and cannot afford to take risk on high-tech high risk/high return stocks.

  • 5 French Stocks On Sale For A Limited Time Only [View article]
Are there any etf on a basket of French stocks. If so it will give a better spread rather than buying individual stocks.
Central banks are printing money in one form or another. So, if I am down by a big margin having gone in too early, I will hold on to the stocks. Have a nice day

  • EMC Corporation: A Decent Buy After A Pullback [View article]
Great article, though I cannot understand the mathematical formulae.
I appreciate your closing comment (very good advice) : " However, considering the recent upward movement of the stock, it might be a good idea to wait for a pull back".
