  • Long Ford Into Earnings, $28 Long-Term Target Price [View article]
My local dealer has 40-2015 models. Your dealer must not sell many trucks. They also got their first 2015 in December.

GM has been giving low ball leases for the Buick Enclave since December. Saw another add this morning $199 a month! The electric Spark $139 a month with 0 down. And how much have they been discounting their trucks? In my area get over $7,000 back on the new Silverado! Hurry into to you local store.

GM did not do very well in the 1st quarter because they have been giving too much in incentives. $199 a month for a Buick Enclave, $139 month for the electric Spock and with nothing down! $7,000+ off of their pickups. No wonder too me that revenue was down and earnings.

I disagree with your advice on delaying social security. First in the 5 or more years you do not take social security you lose a lot of money. For instance if someone took SS at age 62 and gets a $2,000 payment every month. Well if you delay until just 67 you lose $120,000 over those 5 years. If your check would be $2,500 at 67 it would take 20 years to make up that $120,000.

Another point could you make more money than the government? How about taking that payment at 62 and investing it in a few mutual funds? I suggest FBIOX - it has performed very well for me the past few years. And with the huge number of baby boomers getting older every day new drugs are a must.

Monster your dividend rate is fixed as long as Ford keeps the payment constant. I bought at an average price of $11.04 and my dividend is a whole lot more than 3.85%!

Ivan are you one of those old white guys? Hillary has no problems that non-fox watchers see. She will win by at least 10%.

Rick - where do you buy gas or diesel for that matter? A few months ago diesel was 75-90 cents over 87 octane. I just checked Gas buddy.com and diesel is closer to 87 octane, but still 30 cents more!

Your geography skills are weak as well! Mexico is in North America, not South America. The reason why Ford builds cars in Mexico is cheaper wages and they can export cars to Asia and other places and not have to worry about the strong dollar.

Consumer reports is a load of crap anymore! I have been looking at their site for refrigerator, washer, and dryer ratings. The ones they recommend people slam and say that CR is not what it used to be.

riskrunner - You are wrong! We will not see $13.75 until sometime after 2020 as that will be the next recession.

Two factors hold Ford stock down right now. First they have disappointed too many times and the analysts are skeptical. This is shown on Yahoo finance where there are 3 buys, 10 holds, and 1 sell. Secondly is a huge amount of shares outstanding, around 4.4 billion.

Ford will need to show two consecutive quarters of growth before we see prices over $18 that stay above that level.
