NFJ was discussed on CNBC last week as a good buy. It had dropped about 60% in March because of a cut in distribution and now has about a 4%+ yield. Comment was made that the distribution should be increased. Distribution is covered and there is a positive UNII. Now looks like a conservative buy. How do you see this fund?

with weakness in employment, housing, retail etc is there any good reason funds that hold goveernment/agency bonds sold off? My thought is perhaps a strong stock market has temporarily changed the flow of funds and weakness in bonds will become stronger a gain. Where would you get your income from now?
