    Dallas Salazar is not much of a financial analyst. I'm long FNFG but there is no dividend increase in the near term future for FNFG. FNFG is already paying a 3+% dividend which is 100% more than most regional banks.

  • Report from Day 1 of Bank of America's (BAC) Article 77 hearing: After several hours of pre-hearing motions - which included a request for delay from the attorney representing the "objectors group" (including AIG) - the hearing got under way. While BofA is the de facto defendant, the actual defendant is BNY Mellon (BK) - the trustee for the 530 Countrywide mortgage trusts at issue.     Bank of America exec mgmnt is guilty of a bad acquisition, Countrywide. Bank of America is a good company and the B of A employees are good people. Countrywide Chairman and CEO Mazzillo should be in jail. Time to move on and get off B of A's back.

    Good solid quarter. BAC WILL BE AT $13.50 7/13 and $15.00 10/13 and $18.00 1/14/14. 50% return in 9 months. Not bad.

    BAC can't increase dividend until next years Fed Stress Test. This years capital plan approved by the Fed afterbthe stress test allows BAC to repurchase $5B of common shares and $5.5B of preferred shares.
