Cash for Clunkers May Cost Up to $45,354 Per Vehicle [View article]
This is exactly what the British government had concluded years ago when they studied the French and Italian programs, before considering one themselves. None of this is out of the box thinking ,and merely underlines the demagoguical nature of the curent government.Same with healthcare, why don't they invite British, French, and Canadian healthcare administrators, before trying to reinvent a faulty wheel.

George Soros, GM and the next Lehman Brothers [View article]
When I was in business school (69-71) Penn Central went bankrupt. Most of the uncreative people thought it was a huge calamity;susequently it proved to be just an obsolete business model due to become extinct. In fact it made room for better entrepeneurship to replace it. Same with GM today, make room so better operators such as Tata motors or Kia can pick up the pieces and redeploy the assets more effectively. Haven't you heard of creative destruction! or evolution and natural selection! Even a Keynesian like Obama knows that...Look at the steel industry...they all died and from their ashes better companies took over. You should know better!!! After every major plagues there was a strong economic recovery, obviously caused by new players (since I am talking about the bubonic plague and other population culling ones). That is also another reason why these wall street CEO's and their highly entitled ego's have to go.
