I learned my lesson the hard way with these scams buying USOG .. found out too late it was under SEC investigation of being a "boiler room" scam! Buyers Beware!

Yes, thank you Bret for WRES insight. Missed upside on AXAS. Hoping to not miss out on WRES. Did well with PVA and MHR this year.

    Cheers!

  • A Once-In-A-Decade Buy In Corporate Bonds [View article]
I just did my due diligence Simon. I didn't and don't blindly invest based on an article or someone's opinion. I read the 10Q's & did some balance sheet ratio analysis and reviewed the Cash Flows. With a Current Ratio of 1.23. If I subtract Prepaid Expenses, they still have a Ratio of Cash & AR to Current Liabilities of 1.2. Sufficient to pay the interest and fund operations in the near to intermediate term. Hopefully they are able to cut some more of the G&A/Indirect costs and look for ways to possibly restructure, refinance or extend maturities of some of their Secured and Unsecured Notes with all of them coming due in 2015.

Whether or not the Volcker Rule applied was irrelevant in my reasoning for my investment.

    Cheers

  • A Once-In-A-Decade Buy In Corporate Bonds [View article]
You all slammed this article and the company pretty hard .. I put a little $ in back when the article came out and it was trading at 48 and the last customer buy on Friday (3/9) at 61.65 (up 28%) and this mornings bid/ask at 56/60 its not done too bad. And I got my interest payment.

Of course winning $103 million in new contracts in the 1st Qtr. of 2012 helps. And per the 10Q-1-12 report, with $368m in funded backlog of $2.5b under executed contracts and delivery orders helps as well. Also their LOC of $35m with none drawn at December 31, helps. So there were some positives which the article elaborated on and worth the speculation. And if I sold today would in 2 months earned 4 times your avg. HY Annual 7% you all spoke of.

    GLTA & Cheers
