No, it's not. My publishing company has a line of 40+ ebooks on computer-aided design. Amazon repeatedly denies my wish to be able to sell the ebooks on their site. And I've been trying for more than a year.

Their reason?

They only take publishers with 1000 or more ebook titles.

LuLu clothes are currently popular with this market segment: teenage girl figure skaters, as well as skaters aged 20+. LuLu hoodies, sweats, and so on, are pretty much de rigour dress uniform for skating practices and warmups.

Should Starbucks Blame the Economy or the Strategy?

I cannot agree. People go to Starbucks to console themselves, to make themselves feel better.

I work with a former drug addict who is struggling to find work. Every Friday, he goes to Starbucks to buy 4 coffees to hand out to homeless people. He tells me, "It makes them feel better to have a drink of really good coffee -- not the Salvation Army kind."

Also, think3 is not doing well, having largely retrenched back to Italy, having closed nearly all its facilities in the USA.

There are a number of errors in this article. For example, Revit is not project management platforms, but architectural design software.

SolidWorks does not provide "limited competition," but is considered by Autodesk the primary competitor to Inventor.

Acrobat 3D is not "akin to offering gold-plated trinkets on the street outside of Tiffany’s jewelry store" but a completely different product from anything Autodesk offers. For example, Acrobat 3D includes translators for numerous CAD systems, which is not available from Autodesk.

In light of the Canadian dollar reaching its all-time post-WWII high today, this column seems like a cruel practical joke for we Canadian exporters suffering from the 7% discount on each US$1 we take in.

Wells Fargo (WFC) will become the largest U.S. bank by branches with its bid for Wachovia (WB), after Citigroup (C) withdrew from compromise negotiations late yesterday on concerns about the quality of some of Wachovia's assets. Wells Fargo, with a bid valued at $11.4B, expects the purchase to be completed by the end of the year, and denies it will have to absorb assets shakier than originally thought. Government considers next steps. As the financial crisis continues to worsen, the U.S. government is considering two dramatic steps to turn around, or at least slow, the damage: guaranteeing billions of dollars in bank debt and temporarily insuring all U.S. bank deposits. The moves, which would mark the government's most extensive intervention to date, are in discussion stages only. Credit stays frozen. As frozen credit markets refuse to thaw, the cost of default protection on corporate bonds reaches new global records amid investor concerns the credit crisis will trigger corporate failures as companies struggle to finance their businesses. Interbank lending remains limited, and borrowing from the Fed's expanded discount window continued its trend of setting new highs every week, as the total daily average rose to $420.2B vs. $367.8B last week. Computer Sciences (CSC) -- This is a company that was going to be bought, but they passed up the chance. Now I don't want to buy it."
