      "How can you possibly do your asset allocation without looking at the market values of the asset classes out there today?"

      The obvious next question is how do you value the individual asset classes? Historical P/E's, moving averages, against average earnings? How do you account for seismic shifts in major fundamentals as opposed to speculation?

      Really enjoyed your article downunder. It puts into words many of my beliefs as well. Are your returns after tax, as I suspect the results would be even more impressive? You did not also explain HOW to avoid market timing mistakes. Do you suggest averaging in, or advising clients when to invest? I suspect many advisers would also make plenty of market timing mistakes, as highlighted by Wall Street piling into real estate dependent businesses at the top of the market. May 09 06:23 AM
