Really enjoyed your article downunder. It puts into words many of my beliefs as well. Are your returns after tax, as I suspect the results would be even more impressive? You did not also explain HOW to avoid market timing mistakes. Do you suggest averaging in, or advising clients when to invest? I suspect many advisers would also make plenty of market timing mistakes, as highlighted by Wall Street piling into real estate dependent businesses at the top of the market.
