  • Don't Be Lured In By Armour Residential REIT's Monthly Dividends [View article]
You may or may not be right . But your analysis of ARR can be defined as basically looking at the future through the rear mirror. It sounds like you are mistaking your wishes for reality as past performance doesnt really mean much as a forecasting tool, one way or the other

If....big if.....ARR doesnt drop too much in 2014 and remains in a reasonable trading range, it would be a steal. And if it goes up then you ll have the cake and eat it.

You are referring to "facts" that already happened and not taking into account changes that have been made. Just blasting the poor management and history of dividend cutting, you are not adding anything new for forecasting the future. In fact you are looking at the future through the rear mirror . When it comes to investing in the market, as you know, past performance means very little for the future and that cuts both ways. Sorry that you lost money on ARR but that has no bearing on the fundamentals (good or bad) of the stock in the long run. Again, nothing beats sound , objective and non emotional analysis.

It s quite obvious that you are angry and resentful at ARR. Try to be a bit more discreet about it. ..its too noticeable . Besides, negative emotions are never a good substitute for sound fundamental analysis

  • The Portfolio For Early Retirees [View article]
I am 58 years old and semi retired at 48 even though I could have afforded to fully retire. Now I am ready to make the final jump. Over the years I made some investments mistakes and learned from them as anyone should. Without getting into an investment strategy debate I will say this: there are two simple rock solid foundations for safe early retirement, be debt free and pay off your mortgage....all the rest is manageable.

ARR s performance right now. is simply. capitulation of retailers who should have never been in Reits. to begin with . And the sooner they capitulate , the better. Declaration of dividends for the next Q coming in two weeks. If dividend is mantained it should boost the stock
