Apple's iPhone SDK: This is Brand New Big Sh*t, But
Yes, of course. Any CIO seriously looking at the iPhone for his next mobile platform investment is going immediately dismiss it because it doesn't have deep integration hooks into Facebook and Myspace, so that his staff can "leverage the immense potential of the social graph" by updating their profiles with cute haikus and uploading their latest LOLcat pix.

iPhone SDK and Restrictions: Some of the Details Aren’t Great
My guess is that Michael didn't get invited to TED and Mehan Asha recently dumped his ass, and so he is vocalizing his hurt by dissing on the iPhone SDK.

Or maybe I'm just reading too much ValleyWag...

Tracking Apple's Q2: Some Good and Some Less Good News
Folks need to remember Apple's current marketshare for personal computers and realize the huge upside for growth. The Mac product line is the cornerstone of their "Digital Lifestyle" offering and will continue to be their main money spinner. Also remember, Apple is just only getting serious about building Apple Stores in non-US markets, given that the US market has been its key target to date.

Microsoft Acquires Danger: Is it an Answer to iPhone or Android?
Anyone who have used Windows Mobile phones can attest to the fact that total user experience is really quite bad. There is a lack of integration finesse, and the end product feels like two separate teams working in isolation were brought together only at the last moment before shipping to fit the software and hardware components together. Thus the WinMo model of commodity software loosely engineered to fit feature rich, but poorly integrated hardware, ultimately does not produce the kind of user experience that the Blackberry or iPhone offers. Microsoft is going to do a Zune to the WinMo consortium, what they did to the PlaysForSure consortium. Bring out a totally integrated Phone (hardware, software and cloud services totally integrated) and sold only by Microsoft.

Motorola May Spin Off Handsets Unit - iPhone's First Casualty?
      Blah123,

As of iPhone firmware version 1.1.4, none of the applications run at root level. Apple is currently testing Microsoft Exchange Mail functionality and will soon release that, which is when the real penetration of the iPhone into the enterprise space will happen.

MOT today, RIMM tomorrow and NOK next. It's just a matter of time.

      Defending Apple's MacBook Air
The Macbook Air makes more sense if you live or have traveled to Asia. Sub Notebooks are the rage here, with the likes of Sony, Samsung and Fujitsu successfully selling millions of similar slivers of technology to executives, fashionasitas and the female user population. In Asia lugging around an ugly Dell or be seen in a Starbucks with it is considered a major fashion faux pas. The Macbook Air is the first real indication that Apple is finally taking the Asian market seriously and going after it in a major way. So yes, the Macbook Air will look strange to most Yanks, just as Hello Kitty, Pokemon, Karaoke, Cosplay, Anime, etc still do. But in Asia and the rest of the hip capitals of the world, the Air is going to sell very well.

Apple Co-Founder Thinks iPhone Price Cuts Reflect Inventory Problems
The Woz is waaay over rated, and way past his shelf life. He may have been an good engineer in the past. But he is just that, a meat-and-potatoes type engineer, who has done some decent work. But he is not a visionary in the same league as Jobs, and neither is he an astute observer of technology trends or business in general. Best to ignore this clown.

Apple Calls NBC's Digital Download Bluff
This is what happens when traditional content providers and MSM companies have delusions of grandeur and start believing that they can actually do one better than the likes of Apple, Google and even Bittorrent in terms of content distribution. Especially Bittorrent, since you can't beat free. I'm more than prepared to pay $1.99 to watch Heros on my AppleTV via iTunes. Now, I'll just use uTorrent's RSS feed feature to torrent NBC shows off PirateBay automatically, on my torrent box which is on 24/7. May not be as easy or elegant as the iTunes/AppleTV combo, but it will do. Thanks NBC. You have just screwed yourself.
