  • BlackBerry Passport: No Killer App, Investors Lose [View article]
But he will Market the Passport through Carriers. To both Enterprise and Consumers.

It's the USA market that thinks BBRY is or has gone under. Nowhere else.

  • Why Does BlackBerry Even Bother With Hardware? [View article]
    Great Comment.

Devices are perception. You want your image rectified, then devices is the way to go. Just look at the Passport and Z30 for example. Fabulous devices.

Devices are the front line for a Smart Phone Business. And the Z10 was overpriced from the start, and garbage marketing. The Z30 was released in silence. That contributed to poor sales.

Great point, but let's understand one thing, the Passport may be a professional device for professionals and business people. But it's also a consumer device. There's many consumers that want this device real bad.

Just check out CrackBerry, N4BB, YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter, BBM Channels etc., all consumers dying for the Passport, and it hasn't even been released yet.
The consumer market is what will drive Enterprise sales, because the consumer market sets the standard. What's in and what's out.

Studying John Chen's strategy ever since he jumped on board BBRY, I have the impression he understands this, and executing on that basis.

The USA will need a bit more time to work on, they are too entrenched by iPhone driven propaganda. People actually believe when buying the newest iPhone, they posses the best smart phone. Quite SAD, and something BBRY is up against.

  • BlackBerry Passport: No Killer App, Investors Lose [View article]
    The Author:

He claims he knows all about the Passport. Nonsense, and you know nothing about what apps BlackBerry will have out for the Passport launch. Name the Best Android App, and you can run it flawlessly on any BB10 device. But you conveniently left that out.

You see John Chen made the informed decision to partner with Amazon for its app store so BBRY can once and for all quiet the age old and nonsense argument "App Gap".

Get with 2014 and present facts based on your opinion, or stop writing.

NOTE: BlackBerry"s Passport "IS" the most innovative and technologically superior device on the planet. Don't be mad about this FACT, just be glad BlackBerry is providing industry competition. Because in the end the consumer wins.

This sounds like a good idea.
Allows each BlackBerry division to meet deadlines, sales figures etc., without excuses.

    Bad
    You misunderstand the Passport's strengths.
This Passport has huge potential to attract all ex BBRY users. Not to mention new customers and existing BBOS customers.

The Passport is also the most innovative device in existence. And will remain this way for at least another 12 to 18 months.

  • BlackBerry: The Tide Is Certainly Turning [View article]
Johnny Chen is a smart individual. Has no apparent attachments to BBRY. He was hired to do a job, and that is to turn the ship. There's huge risk/reward potential for BBRY.

    I trust John Chen.
I trust his new selected Management Team.
I trust the decisions he has already made.
I trust the devices he has coming out, due to customer demand etc.,

Example: Passport is unique and the most innovative smart phone ever created. BB10.3 is also a revolutionary update.
The Classic to get people off there Bolds, and onto the BB10 platform.
And the surprise Z20 (Z10 replacement) coming as a surprise, along with the launch of Passport and Classic.

With John Chen he's slowly making decisions within BBRY that are slowly showing it's fruit. I don't see him stopping. My $ is on him.

"""BlackBerry's got nothing even close. They deliver flop after flop and their software and services are wholly uninteresting.

    Sorry, but it's true.
You simply can't compare the two."""

Absolute nonsense. BlackBerry's Z30 and Z10 despite being about 1 year late to market won more awards than its competitors.

BES10 rules and with each update, it continues to dominate. BES12 = Game Changer IMO.

The only issue BBRY had was CRAP Marketing and other bad desitions made by the previous management team. The 4 sale sign also caused many returns.

Use a BB10 device so you can appriatiate how technologically advanced it is versus the likes of iOS and Android.

Lol, figment of the imagination? What? Oh you are talking about another's comment.

Explain the Apple/IBM partnership. It makes absolutely no sense for such partnership. Its a smoke screen to try and block any good BBRY news. One being the Passport.

Yes I seen the video. From the Dad transferring his files and stuff from the iPhone to the Z30, to not really missing the iPhone all that much.

Perception is changing. And I understand John Chen's reasoning for not marketing to the consumer market YET. He needs a device that will WOW the consumer market. Only them will it be worth marketing $$.

Fully Agree BBRY needs some compelling marketing, a style that will actually work.
At this point, BBRY is probably waiting to market in the USA. Due to all the mass confusion perpetrated by the competition. Too many iSheaple are brainwashed. They are sold a bill of good, regardless how awful iPhones are.

    Fully Agree.
Till this day the Z10 blows all iPhones out of the water.
Coming out with a Z10 replacement with higher specs and larger battery will only certify BBRY's innovative and technological advantage over its competition.
