It's high drama for Zagg (ZAGG -3.4%) after its CEO takes the offensive against claims from Jim Cramer that the firm's products are "ridiculously easy" to duplicate. He says Zagg's invisibleSHIELD product continues to decrease as an overall percentage of sales as it develops new products, and notes that Verizon and AT&T are picking up new lines.

Google (GOOG) is playing with fire if it intends to launch a branded online store to match Amazon (AMZN) Prime, John Dvorak writes. Because Google is good at searching for products to buy, it may think it should be good at actually selling them - but it may not realize that finding something in a store isn't the same as being in the retailing business - and that's Amazon's forte.

from the perspective of a subscriber of netflix...I was a devoted subscriber of netflix for quite a LONG time. I used netflix every single day and it was a part of my life. One thing about the subscriptions was this...they always had their content set up where there were lots of stuff to watch on streaming but the really, really cool new and premier content was always only available on dvd. You could not enjoy netflix fully unless you had both streaming and dvd. Then the economy got worse and I just could not justify the subscription for economic reasons at the time, and right then they raised the price. They had a new prices that were still affordable but it was only for one or the other (streaming or dvd). if you paid for both it was over the doable rate. So I put my subscription on hold like vacation (same effect as cancel almost) I kept extending and extending my hold like 12 times I extended it hoping they will put things back the way they were. Then amazon came out with streaming club subscriptions that amounted to much less than annually than netflix streaming (without the dvd) so I signed up for that. At first amazon had little choices (equal quality to the choices of only streaming at netflix) Then amazon started to ad and add and add more content and brought up their choices. I still have not canceled my vacation hold at netflix but I do believe eventually I will let it go to full cancel. I was trying to wait to see if amazon will raise their price at one year of subscribe club renewal. If amazon does not raise price for the stream club at time of renewal I will cancel netflix.

from the perspective of a subscriber of netflix...I was a devoted subscriber of netflix for quite a LONG time.
