Amazon: Making BlackBerry Cool Again? [View article]
I don't get the sense that Rocco hates RIMM. I for one love my Blackberry, that's for sure. For an older and perhaps less open to learning the flat screen typing user, it's still a great alternative to the old cell phones. I still think this would be a great partnership. We shall see.

It's the "Black/White - all or nothing" stuff that turns me off right away. There are gray spaces everywhere, and 100% cash is what he said, not .... "well, I have a few stocks too, but mostly I'm cash ... blah blah blah ...."

Now that makes sense to me and is exactly the philosophy I follow. But this type of article would not draw the attention our dear friend does, a favorite of the editors, it's too common sense - no drama and gloom and doom. ;))
I can't wait! I am very confused - or rather unsure - on difference, in profit terms, between "in the money" and "out of the money", "deep in the money" etc. and how it affects the calls. I have made really stupid trades, gaining nothing, at best, losing money, at worst.

I love my BB. I can only imagine that many others do as well. I want more apps, for instance my broker does not have an app for BB, but does for androids. I think it would be great for BB lovers, but have no idea of the numbers involved and if it would make sense. As it is, I'm looking into getting an Iphone, just so I can have certain apps. Ridiculous, really!

I made quite a bit of money with Daimler this year, but I trade, don't hold. SI is another one, bought both heavily today and this is probably the 7th time I've done this since September, which is when I started trading.
I've made a lot of money with just those two stocks, but also traded others. The problem with holding these stocks is the volatility, which of course makes it perfect for covered calls etc. Right now, Siemens is going ex dividend around Jan 20 I think, so I am holding those until after the divi pays, and sold calls with good yields.
I guess everyone has their favorites, but for me, the European stocks have been great!

Is it theoretically possible for someone at Schwab (or other discount broker) to pull a Lehmann or MFG or even Madoff type fraud or are there too many checkpoints built in?
