Reminds me of the expression: "The People get what they deserve." With respect to inflation, it is inherent to Democracy. People will vote for the guy who promises the most and talks best, regardless of merit. And the politician needs to promise the most otherwise he/she will not get elected. This is one of the reasons Democracies are so bad for the economy in the long run. Ever wondered why China and especially Singapore are doing so well? No Democracies there!
