  • Better Wait Until 2015 To Buy Coal Stocks [View article]
I hope most will ignore ARLP. Because if everyone is writing about ARLP, the sheople will pile in and that will signal the top. Better keep it under the radar for as long as possible.

  • The Corporate Bond Bubble Is About To Burst [View article]
    Sounds like win-win to me.
Perhaps going long senior loans and short junk bonds would be a good trade.

  • Apple Short Interest Has Skyrocketed - Negative Headlines Could Add To It [View article]
We never had these iOS and design problems when Steve Jobs was in charge. Quality was at the highest standard.
Unfortunately, ever since Tim Cook took over Apple has been mired in problems and quality has taken a nosedive. Tim Cook is a disgrace to the legacy of Steve.

  • Warren Buffett Hates Gold, But His Arguments Against It Are Weak And Inaccurate [View article]
The investment horizon of the average person is not 100 years. More like 40 if that. A 15 year period is a large fraction of those 40 years. Better get your investments right for that period.

  • Remember, It Was The Great Recession, Charlie Brown [View article]
It's rubbish to look at the average dividend yields of the past without taking into account the much lower Treasury rates of today. Because ten years ago, the 10-year treasury yield was at 5%. Now it is at 2.5%.

If anything, you should look at the yield-spread of REITs to Treasuries.

"Lower grain prices are a mixed blessing -- it is great for consumers as food prices will drop."

More likely food distributors will keep consumer prices high, pocketing the difference themselves.

    Thanks for the information.
Is the 5-Y Treasury safety trade more pronounced than for the 10-Year or 20-Year?

If there is no inflation as the author explains, why then did 5-year treasury bond yields EXPLODE 3x since 2012?? (from 0.6% to 1.8%, 09/2012 - 09/2014).
In fact, it looks like 5-y rates are ready to go even higher!

  • More Evidence Of Minimum Wage Impact [View article]
    Bogus research.

If you want to know what effect minimum wage increases have on unemployment, you must only look at those jobs that pay minimum wage.

Overall employment growth means nothing, as employment gains in highly paid jobs might have balanced jobs lost at the low end.
