      Where Are Precious Metals Heading?
The numbers given in this article are baseless. No references, no links, no backup.

"Demand was way down" REALLY? How about "Demand was strong".

And all the Eurobanks selling HUNDREDS of TONNES of gold every year, supposedly. And they do this for decades already. REALLY?
That means HUNDREDS of CUBIC FEET of gold flowing out the Eurobanks? YEah, right....

      Middle Eastern Equities and Oil
You guys have not done your homework. To quote IndexUniversity on GAF: "The fund, for instance, does not provide much exposure to the energy-rich markets in the Middle East, which are largely off-limits to foreign investors; instead, the fund is dominated by South African and Israeli exposure."

A Look at the Gold and Silver ETFs (Part I)
The holdings of the gold ETFs may be seized by the government. Then you have nothing left, just a paper certificate. Bullion in private ownership is the way to go, but be aware of "escheatment"...

I just made a chart of the ratio of the CRB to the S&P500 and a chart of the ratio of the CRB to gold.
Total surprise! Against the S&P500, the CRB trades at the lowest levels in more than 10 years!!! Against gold, it trades at the lowest level in more than 20 years!!!

Commodities are in a total anti-bubble...

From the comments above I get the impression that all we care about is the ultra short term, < 1 year.
Is anyone at all investing for the long term, > 3 years? I own a few shares of RJI and buy when the stock gets hammered. Not planning to sell all until well after 2010. Likely when DOW/GOLD is back to 1.

Canadian trusts also pay big dividends, so jump in! LOL
