Smartphones: The Mobile Industry Is About to Get 'Blown Apart' [View article]
For me there is just one criterion: Ability versus Price. If a phone can do more for a lower price than the one I have, it is worth buying. As a side note, It is idiotic to have the iPhone slammed as a phone with "low application ability".
I would like to know who paid Foster Research for this "research"...

Seems like this article is turning into an apple rant. The commentaries above remind me of 1999. Back then, the consensus was the the NASDAQ could only go up and internet companies were the new economy with every improving earnings. A year later the NASDAQ crashed. I have been looking back at some of the pictures of last year when HUGE crowds were pushing in front of apple stores to get inside and buy. To me, it was the first obvious sign of a bubble. Needless to say, a year later and apple stock tanked.
Yes, I do like apple products but not their stock.

I bought a nice, thin, unlocked Motorola V3 RAZR for $100 and got a T-Mobile ToGo sim for another $100. Very happy with the combination. When I travel to Europe, I plop a euro sim in the phone. Simple as that.
If iPhone price comes down to $100 for unlocked version, I might buy one.
