The margins will be squeezed in games, going forward. All the cutting-edge stuff (innovation-wise; not "frame rate-wise) is on the iPhone, and many of those are $1 games. Fun, quick games-- in your pocket--on the morning commute.

Also, it seems stupid to include company revenue. MSFT makes its money off Windows; the game division is a money pit. Sony also has lots of non-game businesses. Surveys and review scores can also be misleading, but you need to get data SOMEHOW. I might look at number of copies downloaded and bought.

I think we can all agree that open document formats are better than closed ones. The interesting thing here, though, is that the EU is quite willing to probe MSFT over this one small thing. And, at the same time, many "neutral" pundits seem to believe MSFT can get away with destroying Yahoo without legal consequences. Most curious.
