  • Microsoft Windows 7 - FINALLY - A real challenge for Apple [View instapost]
Man, I am a developer and I love the terminal, but who else cares? Microsoft CAN do it. They just need to concentrate. All in all people treat it like a religion and this what bothers the companies at the end.

Both Apple and Microsoft hire the smartest people around,
be SURE Microsoft will surprise us, the Apple addicted.

PS - Microsoft, if you're reading this, I'd really love it if you switched your Kernel to Unix ;-)

  • Is Anyone Using Chrome? [View article]
    Nice piece!
I have been using Firefox for a long long while and switch to Safari 3 and then Safari 4 and stayed with it. It is fast and reliable and I use it both on my Mac and PC computers.
As to the Google Analytics stats showing in this article, they are really not a clear representation of the market.

In SeekingAlpha we see more than 50% IE users and have a little more than 3% of Chrome users.

3% is A LOT for a browser that young!

  • How Should We Improve Seeking Alpha's Comment Rating System? [View instapost]
    Mark Anthony:

    * This is a really interesting idea(!)
    * We can also indicate if the commenter is a follower of the article's/instablog's author. I'd much prefer reading a comment of a follower than of a non-follower...

  • Note of apology to our users: Our hosting service had a major outage this morning that took Seeking Alpha down for about five hours. We're back up now, and working hard to get all the articles in our backlog up on the site.  [View news story]

  • APIs and the Future of Web Content [View article]
What do you mean "less robust", you can say that RSS is a private case of API -
RSS is commonly an API that returns a list of articles in XML format by a certain topic.

    * did you know that is an RSS (API) for all your comments (tradememe) in SeekingAlpha?

    * I went to your profile page and so it is blank, you could probably earn some traffic to your website if you update your profile there (through the green MY STUFF button at the site's header)

  • Yeah, And the iPod Wasn't a Threat to the Walkman, Either… [View article]
It seems sometimes that either everyone is waiting to see what Apple is doing and then to copy them or that Apple is copying so well from everyone that it seems like they invented the wheel.

I am an Apple addict but I have to say it's getting boring without real competition (I am passionately waiting to the new Palm Pre).

Sony, it is time to pull a rabbit from a hat.

  • Apple Upgraded: Jobs May Not Be Crucial to Company's Future [View article]
My common sense tells me to keep following Apple.
If they will keep the spirit of innovation and usability with NEW PRODUCTS that rewrite the game rules for the entire industry then we will know that someone there knows what we think is Steve's job, well enough.
