  • Currency Protection From U.S. Multinationals? [View article]
    Question for everyone. I am new at this. When buying divident stocks of a Canadian company, does it make a difference to my return if the stocks are purchased on the TSE with Canadian currency or when available as a ADR in the US? What about the foreign dividend ETFs, are the mostly purchasing ADRS or purchasing on the foreign exchange. In other words, how do you ensure that you are truly holding the stock and receiving the dividend in the foreign currency? Does it matter? Seems like it would if the dollar is falling agains those foreign currencies.
