  • Why Starbucks Will Grow Too Much In Asia For The P/E-Ratio To Matter [View article]
Thanks IPaduser, your comments were very worth while; like you added on the dip primarily I believe in HSchultz and the company's concept, growth pattern. I especially like the new Verisimo just before the holiday. Thank you both again Ipaduser and Mathias.

  • How Starbucks Ignores The European Crisis And Moves Forward [View article]
Mathias, thanks for the analysis as some have already mentioned; greatly appreciated. I have been investing for years and only recently with options, but your analysis helped me to delve into some of the why's of investing, rather than just believing a company's surface facade.

Like you I am long in SB, especially with the introduction to India and the Verismo. I listened to Howard Schultzs the other day on CN's Squawk Box and was convince of the company's successes to come. I am aware that as an investor you can't read too much into or even believe everything coming out of the CEO's mouth, but am more confident after reading your question/answer analysis.

Are there other factors that I should be paying close attention to when evaluating companies and their health to profitability?

  • Execs with Starbucks (SBUX -0.6%) tip off that early sales of Verismo brewers are topping expectations and the product is on back order in some markets. [View news story]
I initially cringe when I enter a SB cafe, but then I remind myself that each time I purchase a $15 cup of joe that I'm helping the stock to support me. I must admit though I don't visit the cafes very often. ;-)

Purchase the Jan options ahead of the holiday season to take advantage of the expected run up.

In fact, I am buying more. Every time I bet against SBUX, I have lost my shirt. Not this time around.

  • Starbucks (SBUX -0.1%) says it's begun raising prices at its outlets in the Northeast and Sunbelt regions by about 1% to offset higher commodity and shipping costs. Previously, the company had noted that rising commodity costs would lower FY12 earnings by about $0.21 per share.  [View news story]
I think that it's absolutely insane that a cup of coffee cost as much, but the reality is that many are paying for the experience of the Star Buck environment. I'm equally happi, if not more, because I have been paying the stock and am pleased with the results. Let's have continue global Star Buck mania success.
