Correction, they were all down today, but SDRL was down a bit more than ORIG. SDRL up in after hours.

  • Seadrill: Still Unimpressed [View article]
WTI and Brent were down today, so were RIG, ORIG, ESV, PACD and of course SDRL. ORIG was down more than SDRL, so let's just say oil and offshore drillers were all off today. Better days ahead.

  • Seadrill: My Favorite Idea That Everyone Knows, But That No One Understands [View article]
Sure it's history, but why would anyone sell that many shares at such a discount? Either it was a dumb error or ????

  • Seadrill: My Favorite Idea That Everyone Knows, But That No One Understands [View article]
I wonder why after the close yesterday, there was a sale of 57k at $13.32 -- well below the close.

  • Is Seadrill A Value Trap? [View article]
Bought just a little in the $9 range. Probably won't have that opportunity again, but there's likely still lots of upside.

  • Taser -4.5%; Lakewood sees almost 50% downside [View news story]
I wish there were some downside to the share price. I've been in and and out a couple times, and got out too soon the last time.

  • Taser rallies following Ontario weapon orders [View news story]
I was always taught not to challenge a police officer, to cooperate, say "yes sir" and "no sir." I have yet to be murdered.

  • Seadrill Unlikely To Default On Debt [View article]
SDRL saw a problem developing before most of their competitors and took action to protect itself. That shows they're pretty smart, I'd say. They'll be a survivor.

You make the same tiresome comments whenever there's an SDRL article. Okay, you "bailed," why not haunt another stock for a while?

  • Why It Doesn't Make Sense For Seadrill To Buy Back Its Own Shares, For Now [View article]
Since nearly 100% of experts have been wrong on oil, drillers, etc. in the last year, you will find a hard time finding anyone to follow.

  • Drillers fortify balance sheets while waiting for oil price recovery [View news story]
When I read articles like "U.S. Producers Ready New Oil Wave" in today's WSJ, it does make me think oil is definitely going lower. The opening sentence includes "...American oil companies say they are poised to unleash a further flood that would keep prices from returning to lofty levels for a long time."

RIG may wish they had asked to completely suspend rather than just reduce their dividend. As you say, the ones with deep pockets ought to survive and also the ones that are fast on their feet.

  • Madison Shooting Could Lead Investors Back To Taser After Q4 Shortfall [View article]
So far, I haven't heard one way or the other whether the Madison officer was wearing a body cam. The future of this company is so bright, both here and abroad, that the current decline in share price is surprising to me.
