exactly -- there is a fee involved to get a rating. no reason to pay it if you aren't going to use it. I don't believe MSFTs rating is still valid. (they recently filed a shelf so may issue in near future)

12/06 and 12/07 reports had advertising at 98.9% of total revenues, with 1.1% of revenue coming from other sources.
12/08 show 96.9% and 3.1%, respective figures.
It's a start, and they are obviously looking for other avenues of income, but I'll still be treating GOOG as an Ad company, as opposed to Tech, for quite some years to come
