      Obama Clueless on Oil Economics
Moral compass !!! Who's moral compass . You mean its ok to lie to people by telling them that gas prices will come down by taxing the oil companies . The democrats compass points directly to "hypocrosy" .

      What's Keeping the Dollar Down?
All You guys have pretty much "got it" . We need to go back to the days when america made things like steel , good automobiles , good health care and good manufactoring plants etc .But no , they have all been destroyed or run out of america by liberals and unions who hate successfull peoples or corporations or lawyers( If you can't earn it then steel it ) who feed off the same successfull americans . The bad part part is these liberals and lawyers and unions ( democrats) aren't finished yet . They won't be satisfied until the airlines are out of business and owned by foreigners and the oil companies who won't exist or will be shipping all their reserves to china and india .You can bet that whatever successfull enterprise exist today the liberals will find a way to destroy them .

Hybrid Cars: It Finally Makes Economic Sense to Buy One
I love mathmatics but these numbers fit the classical analogy of " statistics are for losers " . The fact is electric cars are going to cost more than gas run cars , why . Electric cars energy is not for free . You still have to come home at night and plug your car into the wall socket to charge your car ( It will take the same amount of equivalent energy in electricity to drive your car 60 miles/ hour for 4hrs or however long you drive your car ) .Where does the electicity to run your car come from, the utility company which burns , you guessed it , oil , coal , nuclear ,natural gas or windmills (not in my back yard ) or solar which is woefully inadequate . The electricity you get from the power co will be more expensive because its inefficient as there is a significant lose of energy in transferring energy from the local power co to your house or car as opposed to putting fuel directly into your car as in gasoline .Also as an added burden on ,or added demand , from utility co come about ,these companies will have to expand infrastructure to accomadate the new burden of not only providing power for homes but your cars as well . This infrastructure already exist in the form of the current gas station . Therefore the utility companies will be charging significantly more to provide energy not only for your home but your cars as well .As for me I'll keep my gas guzzing car , drive to the local gas station just a few blocks away and pay less for gas the you people paying to fill your gas with electricity from power co a long way off . Of course I won't be able to do anything about the rise in power or electricity from the utility co .

Something's Smelly: Gas Prices Should Soon Reverse
People can't seem to comprehend that oil is highly priced because of increasing demand outside the US but more importantly it cost increasingly more to drill and bring to market oil ,therefore if you want oil you will have to pay drillers the money to get it out of the ground or there won't be any oil . Why is this so hard to understand . The writers of these "oil bubble " articles are completely lost .

Another Bullish Argument for Commodities: Demographics
RoadstarBiker is a perfect example why the US is headed for disaster . He or she is buying cheap stuff from china etc and complaining about it . So I guess RoadstarBiker will be happier buying more expensive american made products . If that makes sense to you ,well.........

Oil Prices and the "Bigger Fool" Theory
I wish people like the author would stop trying to influence the market by writing this non-sense . The reason oil is expensive and will be that way for a long time is not only because theres a demand imbalance , but overall oil is cheaper than anything else( Electric cars will burn more energy due to inefficiency , and therefore cost more ) . The other very important reason ,people like the author can't seem to comprehend , is that it cost more and more to drill and deliver oil .If people want oil they will have to pay more and more because it cost more and more to produce . Another concept these "bubbleheads " can't understand is that if oil comes down to 75 dollars a barrel , there won't be any oil because no one will drill and produce the stuff . Hence , there is no bubble only bubbleheads .

      Cap-and-Trade Vs. Fuel Efficiency Requirements
If this "cap and trade " is so great ,why is Europe ,which uses this system , looking to get rid of this system because CO2 emissions have gone up . Another brilliant democratic idea which is going to make things worse . And who will get blamed when this doesn't work , not them or their supporters .

Pet is right about drilling , the rest is unintelligible . It would be a waist of e-mail space to argue with someone soooooo misinformed and illogical .Just for a brief repost , it takes millions if not billions of yrs to make oil and coal , not a weekend .Where do you people come from .

Oil Companies Paid More Than Bottom 75% of Taxpayers
PS A question for all those people who think the oil companies are responsible for rising gas prices : If the oil companies took no profit for a year how far down would gas prices come or up ? If you can't answer this question with an emphatic " dramatic reduction " , SHUT UP.
