  • The Wonderful Wizard Of O [View article]
I'll buy more at $ 35. I already own a sliver. I'll buy more OHI at $ 23-24. REIT market still overpriced based on 10-year. I've bought slivers of several REITS to get in the game but have $$ in the wings waiting for when 10-year normalizes between 3.5 or 4.0 or until price targets mentioned above are reached.

Picking up my monthly while so many are missing out due to lack of faith in Linn Energy management team and fear mongering by shady hedge funds

  • Distribution Coverage Deteriorates At Linn Energy [View article]
Beware. This author is one of the worst on SA and consistently misses the point on the companies its writing about. I believe its part written by computer and an author fills in the blanks with limited research done. Their main emphasis, I believe, is to sell their Valentum rating system.

  • Why ConocoPhillips' Dividend Is Not Great...Anymore [View article]
Valentum seems to have some "machine" they crank numbers through to get these results. If you look at their other articles over the past couple of years you'll see what I mean. Reminds me of the bat computer on Batman. There are many other facets to consider and many ways of looking at historical values as the commentors here have mentioned. I too shall be one of those that will have dirt shoveled on me before my heirs decide what to do with the stock. I'll suggest in my will that they hold it.

  • Is Now A Good Time To Have More Tactical REIT Exposure To Increase Dividend Income? [View article]
Good morning Brad. You are my go to REIT guy while BDC Buzz is my go to BDC guy. You guys are gonna make me a ton of money. I love your articles, have learned so much from you and agree with your advice after my DD on companies mentioned. Somewhere along the line I bought $SIR, not with your recommendation I don't think. It looks like a lone wolf on my portfolio screen. Doing some DD on it and noticing that its managed by RWR (arg). I'm thinking of selling it today and rolling over the proceeds into some more ARCP. Any reason to hold SIR ? I don't see that you've mentioned it among your recommendations. Thanks !

  • Exelon's 4.1% Yield Is Not Enough [View article]
This stock is nothing but pure garbage. Its trend is down down down or the years and from what I have read its management team is incompetent. I've held this stock too long with much much hopium but finally today I've capitulated and gotten rid of the beast. Lesson learned not to be lured in by sexy dividend. Trust the chart if it tells you the company looks like a wasting asset. Granted its gotten larger but its share price and dividend are wasting away.

  • 3 Issues With Senior Housing Properties Trust Worth Considering [View article]
Well maybe every one of the health care REITs less SNH. FVE and RMR have poisoned my view of SNH. I will sell SNH next trading day at a loss and invest the proceeds in HCP and OHI.

  • 8%+ Yielding REIT Preferreds: The Best Of The Best - Part 1 [View article]
I see that NRF C and D shares are convertible. This is the one feature of preferreds that I don't fully understand and I have the fear that my preferred shares can be converted against my will by NRF into common shares at a price that is unfavorable to me. Can someone appease my fears about this ? Otherwise, I'm a buyer of those preferreds.

  • Consider Building Your Intelligent REIT Portfolio With These 5 REITs [View article]
Thank you, Brad, for your due diligence and time spent to help us get up to speed in investing in the REIT space. I've bought many of your recommendations and others in the past two months, SIR, SNH, O, DLR, OHI, HTA, HCP, ARCP which I've already doubled down and unfortunately they are all about 5-10% down since then but I realize the blame doesn't go to you. Its the interest rate issue. Fortunately, I only bought half positions in each of these so as soon as interest rates on the 10 year go to 3.5 % I'll buy the other half position in each or a similar, with the exception of ,DLR. Too controversial. Thanks again for all of your expert knowledge. I read every article of yours.

  • Annaly off marginally following earnings [View news story]
I just did some math based on the NLY-D prospectus and if my calculations are right, if they are able to throw us into their common it would be in the $ 8 range so if my calculations are correct (I'm new to evaluating preferreds) then NLY-D is a great buy and more of a SWAN alternative to this ricocheting common stock price.

Hi Chuckleh. I like your idea about NLY-D preferreds. The only hesitation I have is that they are convertible to common stock. Can the company force that conversion and throw me into their common ? God forbid. Thanks again for the idea.

Tonight Cramer did an about face and is now endorsing NAT. Everyone do their own DD> I did mine and I still hold NAT in the sell block. HOWEVER, someone above mentioned SFL. I did a quick look and.... tasty....Going to take a more in depth look now.
