Well, if it goes perhaps to $6 isn't relevant, I stay long. At the end the share price is relevant. And when BlackBerry is in a few years on top again, then I will sell :-)

Well, this article gets a lot of attention... so I don't think, that it's irrelevant.

Well right, but do you want to carry such a part with you? It doesn't look "sexy" and do you want to snap it on and off and on and off and... and perhaps you lose it, because you have forgotten it, because you had layed it beside you...
I have a BlackBerry Passport, with an awesome tactile keyboard... and if you want an even larger screen in heigth, wait for the BlackBerry Slider, which will be released end of this year.

"While it is free for people to send money using personal accounts, PayPal charges individual or commercial merchants a small fee for every transaction."

... from where do you have the $2 ... ?

BBM runs on BlackBerry, Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices. So as you can see, the BlackBerry Messenger runs on every big mobile platform.

"Building on our Windows-based computer analogy, would you expect that an application running on Windows should be able to totally undermine the security of the operating system? Of course not. Why should an in-dash infotainment system be any different."

Well KIA, if I have a Windows computer or anything else, nothing can prevent from formatting the disk ;-)
And if you install an "App" which does that for you, nothing can prevent that! :-)

And have a look at the new QNX Maserati concept car:

QNX Auto Blog: To infotainment... and beyond! First look at new QNX technology concept car http://bit.ly/1K9AJaA

There are no steering functions of the car included, which can modify driving the car. All the included features are for increasing the attention of the driver onto the street.

Well Randal, I hope so, that nuclear power plants have a good firewall or are closed systems ;-)
Something that automakers have to learn from that hacks is that connected cars aren't rolling entertainment chairs, they have to be secured in every instance. They also need something like firewalls and encrypted data connections.
And also the question is, how are that cars hackable? Is there the need to get into the car, or could it be done from the outside.
And on the other side, what's needed to be connected? I think, steering functions of the car don't have to be connected. Well, the police would love that, but it's also a security breach :-) Cars here in Germany don't have such "features", as I know :-)

Yes KIA, QNX is running also nuclear power plants. And why? Because it's a secure RTOS. The automation needs an RTOS for that. Secure stands for, the RTOS is running and doesn't produce runtime faults. That's the OS, and then such an automated control needs an overlying software which does the control. That software is developed by people, which know how to automate a nuclear power plant. So, now you know how that works and you can think about which software components of a nuclear power plants need a review, if they need one :-)

Linux is nice, I use it for my own. But QNX is another level. It's a really secure RTOS, which works for many industries. I think, BlackBerry is working together with the automakers to help them, not to make the same mistakes, the automakers did. The automakers used techniques, which are not very good for a connected car. The bus systems are outdated. So QNX will put also these Infotainment System and car connectivity to the next level.

QNX is a secure platform... if the overlaying software is not secure, QNX isn't responsible for that.
