  • Star Scientific And TherapeuticsMD: 2 Overvalued Pseudo-Pharmaceuticals [View article]
Finally I will add that Anatabine is an NF-KB inhibitor for all inflammatory diseases, over 200 have been identified. For example, the size of the patient population for Hashimoto's Thyroiditis is 35 million people worldwide, 20 million in US alone. I'd say that alone can bring the stock well over $50/share. Good luck on the short side. Even your REG-SHO friends will not be able to help you.

Your knowledge of the effects of RCP-006 show how wrong you are about this company. Sky high loan rates are usually a sign of a very high short, and naked short position. It has nothing to do with fundamentals of the company. Obviously you are not aware of the international patent that was filed for Anatabloc in early 2011 and I will side with the science that will be proven again by John Hopkins over your OPINION based on your position. Sales will also exceed 20 million in 2013, take that to the bank.

  • New Peer Review Credibility From Johns Hopkins Could Drive Star Scientific Shares Higher [View article]
Johnny, do yourself a favor, if you suffer from any disease stemming from inflammation, like I do, take Anatabloc, then tell me what you think. Until then, don't waste your breath. The shorts here are going to get smoked. They never saw RCP-006 coming.

Star's patent for Anatabine Citrate is International. If you would have taken the time to do research you would have seen this. Being short in this issue will only cause you more and more pain. I do not mind taking your money though. Keep a close eye on the upcoming trial results from John Hopkins.

  • Star Scientific: How The Share Price Can Be Deceiving [View article]
This is a biotech company, technology, I would highly advise the non believers to pay close attention to the medical studies coming out over the next two-three months. Then you can determine if you want to buy/sell. I am pretty sure there will be no cash issue either, enough said.

Someone took down my posts, very strange. Anyway, before you short any stock one should always do their homework. Long investors were never in this ticker for the tobacco settlement, they are here for Anatabloc and what effect it will have on the medical community. From all the preliminary results, we have a monster of a application for a multitude of medical conditions. The market is in excess of billions of dollars in revenue. The short story is over, however, they will continue to bash only to their downfall in the end.

  • Following Mr. Market Into Amazon: Suicidal Or Sensible? [View article]
    My Dear Mr Gerstein,
What a sad way to make a bullish case for any company that does not make any money. Growth comes at a cost no matter what industry you are in, valuations are ficticious imaginations by analysts's promotions. Tell me, if they earned $1 and had revenue growth of 25%, would they still command a PE of 240? I know you are long, I would hedge that position if I were you.

  • Reynolds American (RAI -4%) confirms in a 10-Q filing with the SEC a payment of $5M to Star Scientific (STSI -16.6%) in relation to the settlement of a patent case. The number is well-below what Star Scientific investors were expecting to see come into the company's coffers. [View news story]
The way it is worded, coupled with the hit piece that Adam Fuerstein wrote on The Street, it shows one that this is not all that Star Scientific will be receiving. That was the Bear case all along. They have covered a lot of their position by purchasing the call options from November through January. Now, why would they do that if there was nothing more on the upside for Star?

The main reason housing prices were up is that their are less foreclosures on the market. The increases in sales are at the low end and were mostly investment properties bought by REITS and other savvy investors. Sell all the housing stocks now and you will make a killing.

So, all the deficits actually worked? Or maybe it was the lies about Libya? Maybe an all time low in a rebound that should have had growth in and around 6-7% was too high to expect. Yeah I know, it isn't his fault. get out from under your rock.
