  • Why Mortgage REIT Stocks Could See A Big Rebound In January [View article]
Most investors get confused and don't understand how mREITs work. That's fine, it's for accounting, banker and actuarial types. If you're good at math and like a challenge, know the difference between GAAP accounting & non-GAAP, agency & non-agency securities and like to dig-in and find out your own discoveries then, it may be just the thing for you. -Ernest

Held since 80c, can't get 5,200% gains here anymore. It has pretty much petered-out since this years steep upward onslaught. -Ernest

Questcor Pharmaceuticals (QCOR) 23 new salesmen - not impressed - just because only 12% of neurologists have written a prescription doesn't mean that they don't know about it and/or haven't rejected Acthar @ $23,000+ per vile - already priced at next years PE - look for a holding to down pattern for about a year. -Ernest

Luckily, I haven't bought into any mREITs yet, but may if there's another sell-off before the end of tax season. lol -Ernest

Yes Harry L, the great concern and sell down has been mainly about the threat that government intervention could possibly eliminate Dividends altogether! -Ernest

  • Why Chimera Investments Is A Bad Dividend Income Stock [View article]
jhu663 pretty much knows his stuff, but I still wouldn't have liked to have bought at the top. Too many of you go straight down the lines and get caught up in the details. Here's all you need to know and please don't come back and tell me you missed it. Take a look at what's reverse printed (WHITE in the BLACK BAND) across the top of this page: http://bit.ly/sljsXa

  • Recent Performance Review Of 7 High-Yield Mortgage REITs [View article]
Don't offerings prove they're weak? Aren't dilution's harmful to shareholders? Don't they appear to be a lot like bail-outs? Isn't it a lot like inflation? Wouldn't this work only if you got-in at/near the bottom, before a turn around, if they could hope (and prey) for such a thing? Wouldn't one have to be some kind of futures amortization actuarial genius to figure out all these confusing and conflicting scenarios? Why didn't I pursue accounting in college, as I'm pretty good at NUMB3RS? lol -Ernest

  • Chimera: An mREIT Not Worth Owning [View article]
What if CIM, as stated in CC, reshuffles their inventory toward Jumbo AA agency securities? What would happen if the Obama Plan of assisted rifi's caused prepayment rates to increase? What would happen if they moved into the Euro-zone market? Does anyone know of any other variables that could change things? -Ernest

My understanding is that CIM bought the non agency's at deep discounts which could be causing the revaluations. -Ernest

Might buy 200 shares just so I can see if a line on my portfolio screen ever turns evermore green. Recently did. Had a 52 bagger -- took almost 6 years on what used to be an obscure penny stock, QCOR . lol Cheers!

Yeah, Jumbo prime. Looks like they're restocking their inventory with AA credit rated agency mortgages and weening out the securities with higher default rates, aye?

  • 3 Rallying Healthcare Stocks With Bullish Short Trends [View article]
Questcor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (QCOR): Growth rate shall slow, already priced into 2013, has nowhere to go but down and has been extremely over hyped. Sold at 41.45 with a 3.02 trailing stop. One has to be vigilant. There 1-hit wonder chemical, not a drug, porcine from pig pituitary glands, has had a meteoric run. But, when pigs fly they always come back down again. -Ernest

  • Inhibitex: The Negatives Of An Acquisition And The Odds Of It Occurring [View article]
I traded QCOR almost 6-years ago when it was QSC on the AMEX and basically an unheard of penny stock. Insiders were on a buying binge, it spiked, I made a quick $1,000, it went back down into obscurity, and I forgot about it. Well, low n behold, just so happened that I had a few hundred of those 80c shares left over. In November 2011, I put a $3.02 Trailing Stop Sell on, it hit $44.51, backed off and triggered taking me out at a bid of $41.45. For a few Dollars more, already priced into 2013, being at a 5,200% gain, can't make that kind of gains here anymore. Think I'll just look for a few more Insiders gorging on their penny stocks and reinvest again for the long haul. See you in another 6 years.
