  • MORL January Dividend Increases - Now Yielding 23.6% Compounded [View article]
Sometimes it's alright to catch a falling knife. I bot 1/2 at $22.98 & 1/2 at $17.02, avg $20. Including the Jan dividend I will have received $265 per 100 shares since June/July which you could say has lowered my average cost to $17.15 a share. Not bad for the short time I've owned MORL which I think bottomed at $16.22 -Payback is fast! This will go a long way toward covering the distributions I get from my Traditional IRA.

  • Why Questcor Will Definitely, Surely, Assuredly, Certainly Not Be Trading At $50 When Q3 2014 Starts [View article]
Mongoose, you forgot to factor-in that up to 65% of options are closed before expiration. Those are usually the winners, but The "option" itself may still lose money.

I can't find a "Simple Straddle." Shows either a "Long Straddle" or a "Short Straddle." Seems to me that you need to own Shares or go out on "margin" to make a "Short Straddle" but not to make "Long Straddle."

Bot MORL avg $20 June/July $4.23 a year =21.15% (uncompounded) I'm happy with that as long as the dividends hold up.

  • mREIT Stock Buy Backs: The Impact On Dividends [View article]
    User,
You are so right. I think buy-backs are just an action that makes investors feel good. The question is how long does it take to "recycle" those shares full circle through option & stock awards?

  • We See Big Upside In GlassesOff Shares [View article]
The problem is that there is no actual feedback from users, it's all about hyping up the advertising. Sure the stock will go up, but then it will crash and burn right along with the additional monthly user fees.

I notice that you focus on people in their 40s, a generally skeptical limited market. Starting in my 40s I used reading glasses, no problem. I simply added bifocals when I needed glasses. The "big upside" will probably subside after the hype is fulfilled.

I would think that Obamacare would be the only risk on that list to worry about. -The others risks apply to Financial stocks, not Biopharmas.

    1. Have you got the foresight to invest in anything for 13-years?
    2. Perhaps a couple of incidents =fine paid outta cash. Pointed out by many analysts who gave Targets upwards of $90 for Questcor.
    3. Prove that Banigan quit CDF. Many Big Pharmas members too.
    4. Bailey's options expire if not cashed, his age past retirement.
