Potential outside reversal in AAPL. SBUX had an outside reversal in mid April and look what happened after...

    • OneLongTrade: Not saying this will happen to AAPL too, I think the company is solid. But it tends to have these boom and bust cycles. Bust is coming.

    • garyisthebest: bounced on 650 resistence? bullish signal?

    • OneLongTrade: Bullish that we don't get the outside reversal, would have been pretty much a guarantee for 10% lower at some point by year end.

    • OneLongTrade: Now we see if AAPL tries to push new highs again right away or if it cools off. The latter would be a very bullish signal.

    • ktodack: Amazing, some people find a way to lose money investing in Apple.

    • OneLongTrade: It is quite amazing... for this year. If you've invested in apple at all in the past decade, things weren't as simple.

    • dpechal: IMO; AAPL has been one of the most difficult stocks to trade. Just when you think its topped; Think again.

    • OneLongTrade: Oh, definitely. A lot has to do with media, hype, and favoritism that pushes a lot of fund managers and investors into the stock.

    • OneLongTrade: But because everyone is getting in as often as they get money to do so, the price continues to be supported by these buyers.

    • OneLongTrade: In addition, AAPL has rarely stumbled in their earnings enough to warrant even the slightest worry. The most the stock dips is 10-15%.

    • OneLongTrade: That being said, you can observe certain periods where AAPL goes through boom cycles (Jan, Aug) and bust cycles (Apr, May).
