  • A 4G LTE version of Research In Motion's (RIMM +3.5%) PlayBook tablet will finally arrive on July 31, MobileSyrup reports. The device is said to feature a dual-core 1.5 GHz. processor, dual cameras, and 32GB of storage, and carry a $550 price tag. Given the PlayBook's negligible market share and the consumer preference for Wi-Fi-only tablets, odds are against the launch having much of an impact. (yesterday)  [View news story]
You can tether the damn Wifi-only to your phone's data plan for a fraction of the price. One day someone gonna turn into the Joker on all of these people who propagate falsehoods about RIMM, Nokia and other highly shorted stocks.

Supervalue, SVU has 48% short Interest? 110% of outstanding shares are held by institutions. When you add insiders and individual investors who are not required to report their holdings, it is much higher. Now, how can 2+ people own the same exact share, yet in this case more then 2 people probably own the same exact share, yet the stock keeps going down!

How can the market artificially create shares without a company going through an equity offering? Massive Fraud occuring by Shorts, Broker/Dealers and Custodial firms.

Integrity of the Capital Markets is in question. There are a number of stocks where institutional ownership alone is in excess of shares outstanding.

SEC where are you? You don't respond to inquiries and it seems as though your in bed with all the crooks, which you are.......

    FRAUD!

  • Steve Elop Speaks To Wall Street Journal About Nokia's Future [View article]
Microsoft invented the ecosystem. Anyone with an MBA I am sure studied the Harvard Case study about how Msft destroyed Apple in the 80's, by developing an open architecture that allowed for 3rd parties to integrate into the platform.
How many products does Oracle offer that work with Apple? On the flip, every Oracle product integrates with Windows. A QR reader is not gonna differentiate an ecosystem, but access real software solution providers such as SAP, Oracle etc, will. 1000 versions of solitaire and 500 QR readers is not a reason to buy an Apple phone over Windows. Windows mobile thin client ecosystem is growing at a faster rate then Apple, doubling from 50k to 100k in just a few months, covering all of the major categories.

Netflix went from $30 to $250. Apple from $50 to $600. Why? Exponential growth. Nokia is still #2, their growing Lumia sales exponentially and with W8, there is no reason why this does not continue, especially with the support of carrier and such as ATT. So if Nokia can maintain sales growth within the Lumia line, their is no reason it does not rebound to its high end of the 3 year trading range, which would put it in the mid-teens. If you listen to comments from Verizon, facts about carrier coverage, support for W8 and Apples earnings, you can take away many positives to support at least some sales growth.

  • Will The RIM-Pire Strike Back? [View article]
When that employee tries to leave and take his phone with him/her, they'll learn the hard truth!

A:) The phone's storaged and all of its contents will be deleted via poison pill to ensure the employee does not walk away with any confidential information.

B:) That # becomes the property of the company and while you can keep your phone upon departure, you'll have to get another #.

So knowing the facts, why would anyone want to use their own device for work?

Short Interest on US listed ADR is just North of 4%. But Nokia is primarily listed where? Not in NY. I do not have those #'s. As we all know, there are other ways to short, through Futures, derivatives, Options etc....

Reverse splits never work. When CITI reversed, I knew what was to come. The higher the share price, the more the shorts can drive it down. Let it become a penny stock, then we can buy more while the institutional investor sits on the side-lines. It becomes more difficult to short a stock at $1.5, especially one that is down 99%. Please no reverse splits!

short! Please explain to me how a company with a current ratio of 1.4 and a quick ratio of 1.25 can go out of business by December. If they have enough cash to meet all expenses and liabilities for the next year plus with-out any additional cash flow, how could they possibly go bankrupt in December? Please address. A good chunk of current liabilities are long-term debt that is coming due, which will reduce long-term liabilities.

If we take cash and receivables, leave out inventories, Nokia has enough cash to pay all liabilities, current and non-current. We are left with 3Billion in inventories, 2 Billion in cash and 11Billion in Long-term Assets: Property, Plants and equipment, then of course, 30k patents..

  • Bears Say Nokia's Products Are Obsolete; Consumers Disagree [View article]
We are talking about cars here. Cars now have chips and come pre-installed with Navigational software, from dare I say Nokia. The ability for all our devices to communicate with each other and share resources is the difference. Msft has this cornered and has partnered with Nokia, even forcing other W8 manufacturers to use Nokia 's mapping and other patents, of which Nokia will continue to increase the collection of royalties from.

  • Bernstein's Pierre Ferragu is more bearish than ever on Nokia (NOK -1.9%), slashing his PT to $1.56 from $2.63 and forecasting a $0.38/share loss for 2012. He thinks more disappointing news could accompany Nokia's Q2 report, due Thursday, and that feature phone demand is evaporating as Android phones get cheaper. As for Windows Phone? Ferragu asserts it has "insignificant traction," and that there's no room for a "third ecosystem." (yesterday)  [View news story]
No room for a 3rd ecosystem? So who's going away,Apple or Android? What a moron. Microsoft has the most successful ecosystem on the planet. Does SAP integrate with Apple or Android? Oracle?EMC? It's time to line people who propagate false and misleading information. In front of the fire squad. My entire work life has centered around Microsoft and it's vast ecosystem of integrated software products that is well beyond the scope of a thousand versions of solitaire.

Way to give it to him. They probably sold 300k Lumia 900 via ATT or something, they have sold millions of Lumia phones.

  • Lumia Is Coming To Verizon And Sprint Along With New Features [View article]
Android is completely ad driven. Who the hell wants a phone that is a one way ticket for Google to direct advertisements towards you. I have the Droid Incredible and am awaiting the new Nokia Lumia once available via Verizon. I am not the only one who shares this and I am not the only one who will not pay the Apple premium. The world is full of early adopters, but for the rest of us, value is what sells...

Marcap, if they were years behind Apple, why would Apple be paying them 600mil a year to use their intellectual property?

And since Apple really has never invented anything, and just prepackaged others IP, how can they be ahead of anyone?

And what about those who told you to buy when it was $20, or to buy Rimm as it went from $80 to $140, Buy low, sell high. It's that simple. Dollar cost average from $5.5 down and your average price will decrease. When Nokia quadruples your in the money. Unless you want it to go down. Yeah we should sell everything that goes down, great way to make $.. Long Nokia and still buying.
