I am interested in natural gas as the price never had been so low and even it may go lower a bit, in three to five years period, the price shall be double to today's price. I brought UNG today but I wonder if this is the best to track the natural gas market price. Any other better buy such as GAZ and GAS.TO or ECA.TO?
If big corporation CEO can still receive big bonus and stock options etc. when the companies are losing money. Investors were just a sucker paying for their greed. Bonus shall be paid in a profitable year and not at a negative profit year. It is a reward and not entitle to it when time is bad. Capitalism means pooling good money to make more money for investors. Now it seems the CEO made all the money and investors are out of luck. The CEO thinks they own the companies and with the internet trading system, now is more like betting on a horse race. I brought insurance companies stock for long hold but they keep printing more stocks.
From the outset, all ETFs shall not misadvertise that those funds are as a hedge for the down or up of its holding but a momentum trading in the first place. I believe some funds managers are shorting the pro funds too.

I wish that I read this a few months earlier. I had been trading in HGD.TO and making profits as gold price plunging to $750. It seems HGD.TO is in opposite direction with the HGU.TO, but recently, both were skewed downward and not in proportions even gold price went up to $850. Now, i shall just do day trade but watching the last 15 minutes of the trading days, it can be very volatile with up or down in big volume. I wondered where are the value gone in relation to the pro and short ETF? Thank you.

In the case of Hollinger, the CEO just have a few months in prison and parole out of prison still as a millionaire because the parole broad said white crime did not hurt people. No wonder the stock market is just like a casino. Long term hold is no longer feasible as the old days. Free market survives with profit growth, fair share of the profit by the shareholders with transparency and monitored by regulators to gain public trust. May be GIC and real estate are still the best bet.

It is scary to buy in a bear market, but if there is a smart Canadian leader, it may be the best time to buy up the auto manufacturing facilities in Ontario , Canada to start to build its own Canadian smart fuel efficient cars now. Very good time to buy and creat jobs for Canadian. Then our dollar will be at par with or better than the U.S. dollars in the near future. Leadership, leadership is to lead. Wake up Canada.

North America is still the biggest consumer of oil because of the gas guzzling auto engines. A recent trip to Thailand, I can see a lot of small engine Mercedes and other high end auto with smaller engines. The looks are as good and saving gas. No wonder the big 3 are loosing out as they did not face the facts. What is a V12 or V8 doing this days.
