ATP Oil & Gas (ATPG) files to delay its 10-Q due to the inability to file without unreasonable effort and expense. Reports of a pending bankruptcy by the company surfaced earlier today, when the stock was halted over headlines that the oil exploration company had arranged debtor-in-possesion financing. What? Show me where you read this... nuclear alloy rod?? "The spacecraft was powered by nickel-cadmium batteries for ignition of the rockets, silver cell batteries for the television system, and mercury batteries for the remaining circuits. "

Don't know. But these last two days hurt shareholders alot. Good to see the CEO? buying in again. Still a number of wells to go. I'm not in, yet now would be a nice time to take a small position.

Yeah I've been watching this one for sometime. Can't they rent the platforms for to others in the mean time. Or does no one need them at the moment. And perhaps that the wrong signal to investors in ATP. I like their huge acreage. I like the finds made so far. I like their application of new tech. Its just the fuckery in this stock, shorting, debt, and slow progress that has deterred and may continue to withhold enthusiasm in this company. Any how... will look forward to seeing any progress...

The battle for the mobile markets still has a long way to go, certain continents are still opening slowly. And so brand loyalty is but a part of the equation of market dominance. I think Nokia will re-emerge as the convincing second best player in due time. They have a good partner with good connections and a great world wide network of programmers which will support the ongoing development of software/apps. It'll definitely take time though... Enjoy the show.
Anyway, Cristina picked a small fight with Petrobras too. But they aren't claiming everything. They just revoked a few permits which I think they'll give back if Petrobras will continues to invest in the country. But I doubt they'd be foolish enough to piss off even bigger companies who have the technology/knowledge/m... to develop areas of this size. But I dunno, if China can develop shale fields on its own, why couldn't Argentina. Its in the hands of the gods. Unless someone here can argue otherwise.
Falklands will not be attacked. The people their voted. Its UK's.
And I'm not sure what you are talking about regarding the books you mention... maybe you're talking about another post. Anyway I'm off..
short answer for now. Thanks for the extensive reply and searching. I'll try and remember the IPO you mention happening in the near future. Will definitely be looking at adding one or two juniors (oil/mining) in Argentina as a small part of the DiscoveryAlarm portfolio, long term investments. As for discoveryalarm.com its free at the moment, so you can just join the trial. I don't have enough time at the moment to make it a fully commercial site so its open for anyone...and just starting.
As for the TSX venture/TSX, I think that day trading is pretty rare. The 1 bit reality of investing in discoveries is pretty difficult to day trade. But I guess you could make money in it. But I would rather choose long term investments. Vision is more important than short term trades, even though the later might be more profitable. Hey, who am I to judge ;).... be back later...
Interesting company. What do people here think about the political stability or sanity of the Peruvian Government. Can nationalistic tendencies of SA be tamed?
