I like JMBA a lot. In fact, contrary to Wallstmind's experiences, I have been going into many Jamba locations in northern california and have noted a significant number of full stores-- blenders buzzing! In two locations, one by the Oakland CA airport and one in the San Pablo area, the Starbucks were LESS busy than the Jamba Juice. And the activity was true even in the evening, when it was colder. I am VERY intrigued by the upcoming Jamba presentation at the 25th annual Roth Conference. I believe this stock has legs.

I'm not sure I agree. If the market ends being UP at the end of the year, that at least means that Feb-Dec did not not do poorly as a whole. The writer's assertion is that we have NOT have a down January, so he feels there will be no recession given the remarkable statistics of January UP years. Since history is no guarantee of future events, we will not know what happens until 2014. But a recent study showed a chimp doing better at predicting the market than the pros, so all of this is anyone's guess!

The problem I have here is that the new negative article is very thorough, AND you did a good job at re-iterating your long position as well. However, this is a binary event, and I think it's safe to say there will be several ups and downs heading into the data. The big question is HOW LOW WILL IT GO? Your article suggests that a person should buy, yet you are long, so this is not so helpful. I suppose you feel we have hit the very bottom of the lowest dip before trials - so it's buy time. I don't agree, and I am grateful that you are required to share your positions.
SO, do you really think this is THE bottom, and if not, how low?
Personally I think it could flirt with the mid $6's again because of the conflicting info and the nature of binary events.

Under Eisenhower and Nixon the top effective tax rates on the wealthy were over 70%. And Obamacare, which was Romneycare, was a Republican position. On the other, your persistence suggests to me that you could be short and are trying to sour people on the stock. That's the thing about seeking alpha...it's hard to know what a person's agenda is. Anyhow, I do appreciate your point of view, and while penny status IS a possibility, with the expansion into Asia and my personal, very positive experiences at the store, I think the company will pull through in the long term. Most people don't want to order those items online. People do not want to wait 3-4 days for missing cables or other components once their tv or camera arrives via fedex from amazon.

Also, although I realize the debt issue is a problem, I don't agree we are headed towards a long term financial apocalypse.
