  • Axion Power Concentrator 358 August 14 '14: S-1 For $15MM Share Issuance; Changed Loan, IP-Secured MDA; David DiGiacinto Appointed Chairman And CEO [View instapost]
After speaking with DDG a few times I believe that we will be seeing a new approach in regards to how information is provided. I believe that TG was overly optimistic and mislead us with his expectations of significant orders and such. My opinion is that DDG does not plan on leading us along by feeding us cleverly worded unfinished sentences like TG did and then allow us to fantasize about the true meaning.

DDG will provide information when it has been validated. With the RS and funding approaching Axion's story will be reset and a new beginning will be initiated. I think DDG will be interacting with us in a similar fashion of a newly developed and launched company with little or no traction. I don't believe he is going to speak about any potential business such as NS or auto and his restatement of the potential new investors seems to support my beliefs. I believe he plans to reduce our current expectations back to the order of a new start up company and then if/when those significant orders do arrive we will here about them after the ink is dry!

    Just my opinion

    geo,

Thanks for the vote of confidence, much appreciated.

I found the info encouraging but unfortunately I have no idea on timelines which would be the real powerful info! I am just "hopeful" that maybe the engineering has been ongoing for a long time and now the fleet test or similar stage is started. As mentioned by many here much more knowgeable that I that this could take a long time or not! The mystery continues!

The good news is that a "bunch" of batteries have been received by a truck company so they continue to move forward and I believe that provides additional validation that the PbC continues to perform in this (whatever it is) application!

    HTL,

I was told of the shipment around the middle of July and it was presented as it had been recent!

I understand this provides little clarity in regards to timing but does not eliminate the possibility of it being prior the end of June.

About 3 weeks or so ago I learned some information that I have been reluctant to post due to the fact that I will not be able to provide substantiation of my source. Since this is the case please feel free to label this as a rumor and dismiss it at will. But since the recent release of the S1 and the discussion of the $2 million cap ex monies I decided to throw this out into the speculation!

With that said, I heard that a "bunch" of PbC batteries had been shipped to a Truck OEM!

It is my speculation that this "bunch" of batteries could possibly be for a fleet test for a potential stop/start initiative that has been ongoing for approximately 18 months or longer. Of course it could also be something like the APU application.

A question for iindelco or anyone; approximately how long could it take for a successful fleet test before talks of a production run could start to take place? Is this a 6 month or potential multi year process?

A few of us Axionistas seem to resemble the infamous Black Knight!

    Stefan,

All I can tell you is that I am not attempting to mislead.

Why they are in a quiet period I do not know but do find it very interesting! What could it be? Is it because they are in negotiations for financing?

I could speculate on things like strategic investor or such but I truly have no idea!

    Rick,

I agree with you. But I have been told that Axion is definitely in a quiet period! Unfortunately, I am not at liberty to reveal how I was informed of this nor do I know why they are.

Please feel free to not believe me regarding this info. I will take no offense as I am not comfortable in posting these "rumors" without backing it up with the supporting evidence.

I have had this knowledge for a while and just now decided to share it even though it is unsubstantiated!

    ii,

Have you considered that Axion is in a quiet period and not in a position to put out anything?

    Just thinking!

This is an old article from Dec 2013 that was posted back then. I am only reposting now since I have been wondering how Puerto Rico is coming alone with their progress.

"Puerto Rico Mandates Energy Storage in Green Power Mix

Earlier this month, the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) and the island’s main utility, the Autoridad de Energía Eléctrica (NYSE:AEE), released a set of minimum technical requirements (MTRs) that govern new power projects. These MTRs apply to new solar or wind farm projects that are seeking to interconnect to the island territory’s grid, to which PREPA and AEE are hoping to add 600 megawatts of green power next year, to bring its share from about 1 percent today to 6 percent by the end of 2014."

I believe that Puerto Rico was part of TG's potential significant orders. He had mentioned government agencies taking much longer than anticipated and this project definitely fits that description. I know PR is also dealing with dept and bond issues. I sure wish I knew if this project was moving along! My wife and I own a house at the base of the rain forest in PR and I know about how expensive the electricity is there.

When does change seem to take place? I am speaking about a 180 degree change in direction.

AXPW stock price is in the mud, we have a change in management and we are hearing nothing from Axion. The significant orders remain as a promise in a fiction movie and NS comes out with their sustainability report and basically pisses all over the 999 changing the world! What's up with that??

Add to this black cloud, ePower continues to experience delays and no news on the PowerCube front such as BySolar and whatever! And where are those investment dudes that want to create REIT type investments and buy PowerCubes for FR in order to generate income, are they still working on site location identification? How about all those other initiatives that AXPW has been working on and only mentioning in small bits and pieces and then disappearing behind NDA's?

And now it is appearing that the postings have also dried up substantially here on SA. It just appears to me that this story has just about sank as low as it can go! Or has it?

I have been attempting to get my head around this but I must admit that I don't believe I have a clue! From here forward AXPW stock can go down another $.135 if they completely fail to deliver. From what I have read and heard the PbC is a great product that will find its place in the world. What we don't really know yet is if TG has been selling us tickets to a show that has no performers.

We continue to wait for JP's supply/demand dynamics to kick in. Maybe if the new CEO would come out and give us a pep talk that could be the catalyst for the change in direction but maybe the company is in a "quiet period" or something. Maybe the new CEO is still busy getting his stuff in order since it has only been 2 weeks since his official take over.

Maybe, maybe maybe! There are more "maybes" in this story than one can count!

We have seen lots of posters come and go. We have lost posters over many issues and it appears that one was lost over comments associated with a soccer game! Emotions are running high, nerves are becomming irritated and patience short. Maybe if Axion completely fails somebody will write a book about their Axion experience and make some money!

Or just maybe the clouds will part and our new CEO will present himself and give us that pep talk and the market will respond with buyer enthusiasm.

I remember buying into other stock stories that at times throughout many chapters appeared to be doomed to failure only to make a "significant" change and come out on top. Could Axion be one of those stories where all of a sudden the stars align and the NDA's fall and the market rejoices??

I remember not so long ago buying KNDI in the $3.00 range all the while reading many a terrible opinion being posted on the internet regarding the little Chinese company and wondering why am I buying more of this stock! I just upgraded my 2008 Harley Davidson Road King to a 2014 Limited thanks to KNDI. I just hope that AXPW will be such a disappointment!

I am now finished with my ramblings and my glass of wine needs refilled. I will continue to stay tuned to the Axion story and will keep my fingers crossed for that day we all have been waiting for when this story turns and the market recognizes the value in the PbC and Axion.

    GLTA

If anyone would like to take a break from the reality of watching paint dry and take a few minutes to just dream take a look at KNDI's chart!

See what happened since early last week when they announced "significant orders"!! Imagine if/when Axion announces same?

Who has an updated LinkedIn account that can send Mr. Vlad Vichnyakov an email to inquire why he is no longer with Axion? You never know, he might just answer!

    ii,

I have a concern that DDG's response to that question might not make Axionistas happy!

My guess is that the illusive significant orders are associated with the government and they have not decided to move forward with the project yet! But then I am completely speculating here!
