Marijuana Stocks And Legalization - The Complex Relationship [View article]
These companies have built biz models to make money regardless of legalization... I'll be long CBIS and MJNA until I die or until they don't exist anymore (whichever comes first).
Traders may be pulling an old play out of their playbook, loading up on Super Bowl-related stocks Buffalo Wilds Wings (BWLD +3.3%) , Domino's Pizza (DPZ +2.1%), and Papa John's (PZZA +1.1%) in front of the game. The adage is that when the firms report the number of pizzas or chicken wings they sold during Sunday the staggering figure will be good for a slight bounce for share prices. A promotion for Papa John's over the SB coin toss will be closely watched in particular, with analysts busy trying to figure out the impact for Q1 (free pizzas) and beyond (boosted social engagement ). Apple Has Peaked: The Warning Signs Are Multiplying [View article]
@sduris: Yeah, I agree. I'm looking to Q1 earnings as an indicator for all of 2013. With 33 more stores opening (the same as last year), I expect any falloff from this year to be picked up.

Smaller companies will innovate and try to overtake Apple in certain areas, but any innovation that is absolutely ground breaking will be bought out by Apple. Apple has a stupid amount of cash and will use it to fight off the field.
I like Apple and Microsoft right now. With the Global economy continuing to develop, opportunity around the world will only grow. Apple is in a great position right now, and unless there are drastic changes made in the near future, I would say it is an amazing investment right now (especially with a p/e of 13).
The new macbook pro, ipad mini, and iphone 5 (soon 5s) will be bought in bunches in 2013. Apple products work efficiently and get the job done, until that changes, I'll be long.
Possible Reverse Split Should Be The Catalyst Needed To Take NeoStem Shares Higher [View article]
Amy,
Great article and I believe you are correct that a R/S will help to fuel a rally for NBS in the coming weeks/months.
Your point that many investors stay away from penny stocks, simply b/c they are penny stocks, is true in my experience.
If you ask 20 people who are not part of the Finance Industry for their thoughts surrounding investments in a penny stocks, I believe most would tell you that penny stocks are bad investments and extremely risky. Although there would be some truth to that answer, imo, the true value of a company is found in their products and services (and how those products compare in quality and price to other competitors).
NBS offers a highly undervalued product with almost no competitors (if any). A $3.00 share price will help NBS to LOOK more legitimate, but like Guttyworks says above, it will not actually change anything on the books.
The hypothetical $3.00 share price will ease the mind of investors who are already investing in a company which they do not fully completing understand (assuming they are not a Doctor or some sort of researching with extensive work in stemcells).
Just some thoughts - thanks again for the article.
