what the helllll does this article have to do with AAPL... isn't there a customer service on apple.com to address this issue??? Its great! Have you tried it Joel???.... PhD?? Phonie Doctorate....Tip: this is not a place to vent useless information...what the hell am I still coming seeking alpha... i remember when it used to be great! Where do I go now?
This is article although trying to present an objective point by illustrating a current theme and fascination surrounding Steve Jobs health is actually really morbid and, quiet honest, offensive to the man. Absolutely unnecessary and uncalled for. The level of reporting here at seeking alpha has withered down to the levels of OK! and the National Enquirer. I guess things are so bearish that people like this guy have nothing better to do than to indulge in croissants, twinkies and spread rumors vs. actually doing some real financial analysis.
I wonder if studies have been done about changes in consumer spending with regards to credit cards. It seems people are more apt to continue a certain lifestyle out of habit regardless of their economical situation, foreclosed home, diminished portfolio, etc. It's so easy to fall into the credit trap of saying "I'll just charge it" as they try to survive hard times. Wouldn't MA benefit from all this economic downturn as people shift methods of payment?
It's really hard to let go of things that we are used to on a day-to-day basis like a CD drive for example. Thinking about it I haven't used my CD drive on my macbook in..........3+ weeks. CD's for my car= i have my iphone, making DVD's= I have my iphone, storing mass data= usb storage device, installing software= 98% of time i just download it. I think one thing that MIGHT be troublesome is maybe the inability to connect a projector to the Air via a port. But if somehow the Iphone can on day just connect to any projector that would be awesome and so smooth. :-)
Need Netflix Worry Over Apple's Movie Rentals? [View article]
The difference between Apple and Netflix is that Apple develops the technology to stream video so again like their mac-line they can fine tune the hardware to the software and improve quality, efficiency, etc. I think what apple needs to do in the future is develop their own TV. get rid of the wires, multiple remotes. I mean they already make great cinema displays. If you want something done right you need to do it yourself.
4 Million iPhones - Not Good Enough [View article]
PS: I think you should wait until next week after AAPL (not Apple) releases the important "news" about Q1 before making such shallow and unprecedented comments about a companies financials.
I think I'm more excited about the updates to iGoogle for the iphone than what I saw today. If someone can enlighten me with who i.e which market Apple is targeting with the Macbook Air? I think apple should focus on making existing products much better than they are now vs. trying to impress financial skeptics every year after year with new different products. There are kinks to be worked out with all their products. I imagine engineering-man-power is limited in Cupertino. I hope they don's spread themselves too thin in the future.
