  • McDonald's Has Lost Its Way, Will We Ever Love It Again? [View article]
Nice write up but I am speculating that McD's problems may be more structural. They are first and foremost an organisation based on first class organisation, management and execution.

Objectively - their food is at best average (although consistently so which in and of itself has been a significant selling point).

However many entrants to the sector can now match them from an execution perspective in conjunction with far better food.

How adaptable is the McD brand to other areas? it is like Ford selling premium autos - not going to work.

why? Enterprise customers will be switching to MSFT phones anyway. Exchange Server and Windows Phone Integration completely bypasses the need for keeping BES around.

  • Between Nokia And Research In Motion, RIM Is The Safer Play [View article]
RIMM is loosing the enterprise market space to WP7. WP7 has the security and managability of the enterprise in a more appealing for actual end users.

WP7 integrates seamlessly with Exchange Email which is what 97% of businesses run.

    APPL - high end consumer
    Android - consumer

    WP7 - Enterprise.

RIMM is getting squeezed out. I am obviously talking about investments here not day to day trading.
